Taking the reality of yesterday and tomorrow…

Taking that far off, fading moment…

I pin them down, careful not to miss a single one –

I endeavor to keep this hazy dream,

From slipping any further away.

‘Cause this moment is constantly spilling free.

Why is it- even the most typical words,

Seem to carry meaning in this moment?

They resound within my heart,

Down to its depths,

Powerfully overwriting what’s there.

I spend multiple hours completely silent,

Despite the fact this season I loathe is about to change.

Everything gets tangled up, until finally it’s shining bright,

And I recall the essence of what’s happening now.

This overlapping instant seems so unreal;

Even your strictest expressions find reprieve.

No matter how you try to resist, you’ll fail in the end,

So try to remember this feeling.

The music that seems to seep,

Into our dried out everyday,

Flows forth until it stains our spring days.

Our laughing and crying intersected,

Transforming before we’d noticed,

Until what’s laid out before us are the sky and our emotions.

Appearing transparent against noisy voices… each of our days…

And the distantly fading cityscape….

Everything is drenched by rainy days –

They fail to disappear into that sky we look upon,

And by the time the cherry blossoms bloom again,

We’ll be thinking back upon these moments.

Farewell to lost days;

The lies we told are tears that never dry.

Picking up the words we’ve dropped,

We’ll surely walk on- we’ll surely make our way onward again.

Taking the reality of yesterday and tomorrow…

Taking the moments where we seem about to give up…

We pin them down, careful not to miss a single one –

Amid this hazy dream,

There’s probably nothing more,

We could possibly lose.
