AN: Sorry this was so late! But I think you all will really like some of the parts in this chapter...at least I hope. Also, DID ANYONE SEE THE NEW DOCTOR WHO EPISODE LAST NIGHT?

Anna was worried about Harry. Remus could tell as much and he felt the same way. Something had obviously frightened him. After talking they thought maybe the whole ordeal at the Dursleys had shaken him more than they had realized. They had already sat Harry down and questioned him about what had happened that night. The aunt and uncle made sure that none of them had hurt Harry over the summer.

Harry had already told Anna of how they had treated him in the past. She wasn't surprised. Petunia had always been a hateful person. Anna promised herself that she wouldn't let them hurt him that badly any more. She felt liked she failed him for not saving him sooner.

So why was Harry so frightened if it wasn't from what happened at Privet Drive?

-The Next Day-

The next day, she took Harry and Remus out for ice cream. Harry got a butterbeer ice cream cone, Remus got the chocolate raspberry, and Anna got strawberry and peanut butter (these are all actual flavors from Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Shop in the new Diagon Alley!). They heard shout behind them and saw Ron and Hermione run to them. They greeted Harry and, much to Anna's surprise, hugged the redheaded witch. She grinned, "Ron, Hermione, I can get you guys some ice cream and you can catch up. I'm sure you've already heard lots of rumors about Harry already." Ron nodded, wide eyes, "I heard you blew up your aunt Harry! I was so confused, I didn't think you would blow up Anna!"

Anna got the friends ice cream (Hermione got the salted caramel blondie and Ron got clotted-cream) and the trio sat down to chat while the married couple sat a few tables behind them. Anna finished her ice cream quickly and rested her head on husband's shoulder as they watched the three children talk, "We're going to have to leave Harry soon. The full moon is right around the corner. We'll have to go home the day before we leave for Hogwarts." Remus sighed, "I'm still worried about my werewolf form. I-I don't want to be responsible for killing an innocent child."

She kissed him to calm him and pulled away, "Don't be such a worry wolf. I'll be there, you'll be taking your potion, and we have a secluded place for you to be in. The kids will be fine. I'm more worried about Moony. He hasn't had to stay in the shrieking shack in a long time. I can ward the area but there are more animals in the forbidden forest. You can't just roam around. Not only could you be seen, but I there also creatures in the forbidden forest that I'd like to keep safe. The centaurs and the unicorns, for example. And I'd hate to run into a normal wolf. Even if it didn't try to cause any harm, I don't think Moony. You don't have to this Remus. If you think it'll be too hard for Moony, I could just go to Hogwarts alone."

He slipped his arm around her in a protective embrace, "No. With Sirius Black running about and what happened last year, I'm staying with you. We will share chambers and I will be there for you this year. I-I don't think my heart could take loosing you, Red." She smiled, "Good to know I have my knight in tweed armor to protect me." She moved to kiss him but stopped when they heard a chorus of disgusted noise from Harry's table.

The couple laughed at the uncomfortable and queasy looks on the faces of the three Gryffindors. It was mostly the boys but the adults both caught Hermione crinkling her nose a little.

The two professors, stayed around to make sure everyone had everything for school. Anna had come with Hermione to pick out her cat. She honestly would've preferred Hermione get a different cat, but either way Crookshanks wasn't that bad. Harry took the news of Remus and Anna going home the day before the train ride tremendously well. They assured him that they would be on the train. He supposed he could survive that.

Anna was a bit more reluctant to leave. She ruffled his raven colored hair, "I'll see you soon. Talk to Ron's parents of you need anything. We have a phone at our house here's the number or you owl us you can't reach us for emergencies. Stay safe. Don't do anything Hermione wouldn't do." Harry nodded and they said goodbye.

*Time Skip*

The Lupins had stayed with Harry longer than they had thought. They didn't even bother going to the house for much less than putting their bags inside, leaving them in the hallway at the front door. They sprinted for the woods. They always went pretty deep in their forest to keep strangers from stumbling across them. Anna looked up at the sky and gasped seeing that it was almost time. She and Remus increased speed. Finally, they were far enough away from the house or any roads. It was just in time.

Remus was breathing hard from all of the running they had done and couldn't even warn his wife before he began to change. What most don't realize is that the pain level werewolf of transformations varied. They were never pleasant but sometimes they could be a lot more painful than others. This was one of those days.

The witch quickly recognized this and ran forward. His knees buckled and she gasped, putting a hand on his shoulder when she knelt beside him. She didn't even realize that she had forgotten a few important steps of their routine.

She was forced to back away from her husband as he grew larger. He screamed it turned into a howl as his mouth and nose became a muzzle and snout. She wiped her eyes, hating it when his transformations were like this. They didn't happen often. Even if it did, she didn't think she would ever get used to it.

Finally, he went quiet and she tentatively walked over to the werewolf who faced away from her, panting from the force of the change. "Remus?" The beast spun around and pounced. She braced herself for the worst, cursing herself for not changing into her fox form before approaching. It would've been best to change after he was calmed.

Her eyes were tightly shut and she stayed as still as possible (even though she was pinned down) as the growling Moony sniffed her. Suddenly she felt a wetness on her cheek and giggled, realizing the growling had stopped. She looked up to meet the puppy dog eyes the wolf only directed to her. She scratched his head and sat up. The redhead bopped him on the nose, "Don't scare me like that!" He whined and she brushed herself off, standing up. She sighed and turned into to her fox form.

The werewolf perked up and Anna nuzzled against him before spinning around and letting out a yip like she always did to signify play time. She dashed into the woods as always, making sure to zig-zag and rub against some of the trees to slow him down with her sent and maybe loose him. When he was no longer insight, she stopped by the creek and lapped up the water. She was too thirsty and worn out to notice that a wolf was watching her.

But this wolf wasn't a werewolf.

Anna only noticed when she stopped and turned around. The creature snarled at her, licking it's chops hungrily. She scampered backward in surprise before darting off. Her paws pounded the forest floor and her tail whipped up and down behind her as she went. But this wolf was fast and it was very keen. She felt it gain on her and before she knew what was happening. She felt a pain in her ankle. She yelped. Wounded, she found herself cornered. She whimpered as she felt the full affect of the bite on her leg and her heartbeat unnaturally loud in her furry chest.

Red began to bark for Remus but as the wolf approached, she heard a lower growl from behind her. Suddenly a humongous figure leaped from behind the boulder she was backed against and landed right between his mate and the threat.

Moony snarled and snapped at it and the smaller wolf suddenly didn't seem so confident with it's chances of winning. For whatever reason, the gray wolf still pounced on the larger one.

The fight was easily won and Red found herself lifted by the scruff on her neck and carried back to their original starting point. She spared a glance at her ankle when she was set down in a soft patch of grass. There wasn't much that could be about it at the moment and it wasn't too bad. She carefully shifted into a comfortable position and Moony curled around her. She quickly dozed off but her furry guardian remained wide-awake, scanning the area for potential threats. She knew he felt a little guilty. Even if it was her fault for not warding the area with her wand.
