Jacob Whitesides

Chapter 1

~Brinley's POV~

A notification popped up on my phone and I reached over to my nightstand to grab it. I smiled as I saw that the hot guy in my class, Jacob Whitesides, texted me.

Jacob: hey :) what's up?

Me: nothing much hbu?

Jacob: same so does that mean you're free tonight?

I almost died on the inside. Was he asking me out on a date!?

Me: sure! What do you have in mind?

Jacob: I was thinking about going to the waterpark?

Me: sure! :)

Jacob: k I'll come pick you up in 30 min

I jumped up from bed to get dressed and made sure that I looked good. Not only did I have a major crush on him but he is also a famous youtuber! And he picked me of all girls... I sighed. Tonight was gonna be great.

~Jacob's POV~

I was nervous as I pulled up to Brinley's house. I noticed her on the first day of school-- shy, quiet, and honestly, the most gorgeous girl I had ever seen. I had talked to her a couple times and we exchanged numbers, but it never became more than that.

And of course there are all those fans who insist you take them out on a date with them. So I hadn't really had time to go with Brinley. But tonight would be the best date I have had for a while.

I walked up to the front door feeling the butterflies in my stomach-- especially when she opened the door and I saw her flawless face.

"Hey, Brinley," I said.

She smiled back at me and said, "hi, Jacob." And then she blushed making her about 20x cuter. But I wouldn't tell her that right now. We had barely known each other for three weeks!

We got into my car and we jammed out on the way to the waterpark. The best parts were when she would start singing. I couldn't help but notice her angelic voice.

I needed to stop being so obsessive. This was only the first date. But I'm pretty sure this was love at first sight.

~Brinley's POV~

We arrived at the waterpark and we put our stuff in small lockers. I blushed as his hand brushed mine. We headed over to one of the 2 person slides and grabbed a raft. I was surprised we weren't getting mobbed.

As we sat down getting ready for our first ride I said, "Oh, the water is a bit cold." I immediately regretted it. I should be enjoying every moment, not complaining!

But then he wrapped his arms around me. "Better?" He said. Then he slowly let go, "sorry, I didn't mean to--"

I cut him off saying, "it's ok." And I held his hand. I was afraid he would reject or that it would be awkward but we interlocked fingers easily.

Oh my gosh, I love him so much; but we just met, I thought to myself.

We went down the slide going in and around and finally splashing at the end.

~Jacob's POV~

"Omg that was great Brinley!" I said as we headed to the next slide. So far the date was going great. I love being around her; I feel like I can be myself.

She turned to me and smiled. "Yah! Wanna get ice cream after this one? It's on me." She winked and I blushed. She was so hot when she did that.

"Sure but I'm paying," I say winking at her.

We both started laughing. It felt good to genuinely laugh with someone. Sometimes I just laugh to make the fans enjoy the date.

After the ride, we headed over to the ice cream shop inside of the waterpark. I guess we wouldn't be sharing a large one today because we each got our own smaller ones.

After the night was over, we got into my car and headed home. As I pulled up in front if her house, my heart dropped. I didn't want her to leave . I just met her don't get too attached, I thought.

~Brinley's POV~

As we pulled up to my house, I sighed. I had so much fun tonight, and it was actually my first date so I just didn't want the night to end. He leaned over and gave me an awkward side hug.

"Bye Brinley," he said. "See ya tomorrow."

I waved as I walked into my house and I watched him drive away through the front window. I went into my bedroom, changed into pajamas, and went right to sleep the minute my head hit the pillow.

I had great dreams that night.
