Lucifer Morningstar always tries to start his day in the most peaceful manner possible. Usually, it consisted of two women in bed next to him, and the sun warming his bare chest in just the right spot, and maybe occasionally a kiss from one of the two women next to him to rise him from his sleep. However, today was not like any other day in more ways than one, starting with his disturbed slumber when Mazikeen came barging into his bedroom, her heavy footsteps startling him out of sleep.
Eyes snapping open, Lucifer stared incredulously at the demon that stood at the foot of his bed, his hands slowly raising to gesture to the two, unaware women beside him. When the pair arrived on Earth, Mazikeen and Lucifer had made the mutual agreement that she should stay out of the bedroom till he came down unless there was an emergency or it was pass nine thirty in the morning. Noticing that the time was certainly not past nine thirty, he turned his questioning eyes back to the demon, to which she answered with the most delighting news he'd heard in a long while, "your pet detective is downstairs asking for you. Come get her before I start chopping fingers."
Knowing that Mazikeen was only partially joking about the finger thing, Lucifer stealthily rolled out of bed, hurrying to get ready, eager to see the detective again. Her immunity to his charms fascinated him and he was determined to figure her out. Pulling on his suit jacket, he stared at his reflection in the slightly misty mirror with contempt. He looked dovishly handsome if he did say so himself.
Making his way down to the nightclub, Lucifer couldn't help the smirk that slipped on to his features at the sight of the detective seated uncomfortably at the bar. With Mazikeen glaring daggers at the her, Chloe looked positively out of place in the dark setting of his night club. Making his way down towards her, he slid into the seat next to her, signalling Mazikeen for a glass, "Detective! What a surprise to see you here so early in the morning!"
Chloe sighed at his teasing greeting, really not in the mood for Lucifer's game considering how close the case hit home for her. When she received the call from Dan earlier this morning she had believed it to be a joke at first before she realized that Detective Espinoza and her were not on such terms these days. "I really don't have time for your games today Lucifer. We've got a case that the department could use your skills for," Chloe said, grabbing the glass out of Lucifer's hand before anything could be poured into it.
Her words weren't exactly all true. You see, it wasn't that the department needed Lucifer's talents, she did. When she heard about what happened to her sister and the allegations that were being made against her, Chloe was certain that there had been a mistake and more depth to the story than what had been reported to her. Growing up with the younger blonde for a fair amount of their lives, Chloe knew Bridgette well enough to know that she didn't have the capacity to carry out such a brutal murder. Yet here she was, standing before Lucifer, hands knotted tightly against one another, unsure of her beliefs. Although Chloe trusted her sister with her life, she just... she just needed to be sure.
"What skills are you talking about, because I've got many that I would be happy to demonstrate for you," Lucifer teased, knowing exactly that she was referring to his ability to draw out anyone's deepest desire, well except hers of course.
Eyebrow's furrowed, Chloe found herself shaking her head in annoyance. What did she expect out of this meeting? "Look, if you're not going to help me, I've got places to be. Now, are you going to come with me or not?"
Putting up his hands in mock defeat, Lucifer smiled up at the detective, "Lead the way."

Author's Note | I'm back with another chapter! Writing Lucifer's point of view was harder than I thought it would be so I'm sorry this took a while. Anyway, question of the day, who's your favourite character from Lucifer?
