Kara had just started a fight with an unknown alien. It wasn't going well, Alex sent back up to her sister. By the time they got there, Supergirl was lying in a pile of rubble unconscious and barely breathing. The first thing Alex did was run over to clutch her sister's body as she cried over it.

Lena was at home when someone knocked on the door. When she opened it she was surprised to see her girlfriend's sister standing there. Alex's eyes were bloodshot from the crying. As soon as the two girls made eye contact Lena screamed.

"No. No. This is not happening. I haven't even told her..." Lena trailed off.
"Told her what?" Alex asked with curiosity laced into her voice.
"That I'm pregnant. Alex I'm pregnant with Kara's child." She cried out.

"What!?!? How is that even possible?" "I think it's because she's an alien. She did tell me once that Kryptonians didn't care about sexual orientation." Lena cried.

Timeskip of 9 months

Kara has been in a coma for the past 9 months. This has taken a toll on everyone. Especially Alex and Lena. Alex needed her sister. Lena needed her girlfriend, to comfort her during her pregnancy.

One day Lena was at Kara's bedside. "Babe, I need you to come back to me. I'm pregnant with your child. I'm scared. I am scared that I'll be a bad mother, scared that you won't wake up. Kara, I hope you won't be mad at me for this but, I'm going to give our child up for adoption as soon as they are born. I can't do this alone. If you wake up I won't have to do this. Please wake up." She begged.

When Lena gave birth to her and Kara's little girl she was happy and sad at the same time. She had a tuff of black hair, like Lena. She had the most crystal clear blue eyes, like Kara. A perfect mixture of the two. Luckily, someone had already agreed to adopt her. "Alex, her name is Hunter. And she will grow up to do amazing things." Lena panted as she handed Hunter over to Alex.

Alex was the one who had to hand the child to the new parents. Alex was standing in the lobby of the DEO, where the adoptive parents agreed to pick up Hunter. While waiting Alex noticed Hunter fall asleep, she looked down on the young child, her niece in fact. That's when someone cleared their throat to grab her attention. Alex looked up and saw Maggie Sawyer.

"What are you doing here Detective Sawyer?" Alex spat out. "Alex, I'm here to pick up a child to bring to some parents." Maggie responded. Maggie looked down to Alex's arms and saw the little girl. "Who is that Alex?" Maggie asked sweetly. "This is my niece Hunter. Lena and Kara's biological daughter. But Kara is in a coma and Lena knew she couldn't raise a child on her own." Alex explained with tears in her eyes.

"She's going to a good home Alex, I always make sure of that. She is going to a home that will love her unconditionally." Maggie reassured Alex. Alex nodded her head and handed Hunter to the detective. Before she left she kissed Hunter's forehead as a goodbye.

Lena and Alex never knew who adopted Hunter. When Kara woke up 15 months after Hunter's birth. Lena and Alex both decided to never tell Kara that Lena was pregnant.

In those 15 months one Maggie Sawyer was getting used to having a daughter. Maggie felt bad for not telling Alex that it was her. However, she didn't want to upset Alex. After all having children was the reason for their brake up.

Maggie loved Hunter. Hunter loved Maggie. One thing Maggie made sure to do, was to never tell Hunter that she was adopted. If she ever knew, it would destroy her.
