(Btw the same day as chapter 4)
I got home and went to my room hockey time I'm so excited and nervous I really want to make it!
I change and Dutch braid my hair for hockey. I grab my bag and head in the car .
We got to the rink I'm now in the change room with a bunch or other girls feeling slightly less confident. They all were around my age some were my age the others were either a year older or younger. I decided to wear my old jersey from my old team. Other girls wore practice jerseys or former ones from there teams.
Since I was part of a Toronto team none of the people would probably recognize it but who knows.
First we all introduced our selfs and then we played witch is my favourite part of course. All of the girls were really good witch is unusual.I think I played really good so that is great.
And I left the ice rink proud and confident. "Great job you did amazing!" My mom said "thanks mom" I said with a light smile.
When I got home I took a shower and changed into grey sweat shorts and a sort of cropped yellow and white striped tank top thing (lol I suck at explaining!). I put my hair in a ponytail lol that's it. I packed everything I needed put my black converse back on and headed out.
Gabby's house...
I knock on the door kind of nervous. "Coming" A guy voice said which made me kind of nervous not knowing who it was. "Oh hey Avery" gabby said at first she was on a guys back but now she was on the ground greeting me. "Hey come on in" she said she showed me to the living room where there was two other people a girl and a guy and then of course there was the guy that gabby was beside. "Avery this is Hannah , Myles and Theodore" she smiled at him "everyone this is Avery" she said
Everyone said hi they seemed pretty cool.
"Hey guys" a boy says walking in aka one of those twins "hey assfaces this is Avery,Avery this is Ethan and Grayson" she said pointing to them. "Hi" I said "hey" Grayson says "wait a minuet omg you brought me my coffee today thank you so much" I said remembering what had happened this afternoon at school
"Oh no problem I really hate mrs.Farr's rules" he said "same" we all agree.
"Lets go swimming!" Ethan said "ok girls my room, boys Tyler's room he's not here" gabby said .
We girls all head upstairs someone knocks on the door "come in" gabby says "hey it's Myles I was wondering if I could change up here" he asks "yea for sure sorry about that" she says "it's fine" he says. We all take turns using the washroom to change except for Gabby she changed in her closet.
I Put in simple black bottoms with a greyish blue ruffle bikini top it's cute. I'm not the skinniest but I kind of have abs I guess. "Damn girl work it you look amazing" Myles says "thanks" I say with a smile.
We go down to the pool and the boys are all ready in. Myles and Hannah jump in together. Then Theodore comes behind gabby and scoops her up and throws her in the pool "THEODORE YOU LITTLE" she yells it's pretty funny! "Hey Avery's the only one not in" Myles yells "oh no" I say "get her Grayson" Ethan yells and before I know it Grayson runs at me and jumps in with me.
It was all really fun I was having a great time! So then I got out and sat on a chair by the fire Theodore Grayson and Ethan started. I guess I was staring at them because Myles came over and said this "cute right?" He said making me snap out of it " Yea I guess" I said "yes but the thing Is every single one of them are straight and so sometimes it feels like only dreaming is a thing" he says "don't be silly you will find the right person eventually" I said " thanks imma go get a hot dog now" he says He
"Hey so we haven't really fully met yet have we?" Grayson asked sitting down next to me on a chair "no not really" I said he chuckled "well what are your hobbies" he asked " well I play hockey I like swimming sports just chilling" I said " really well hockey's fun I like lacrosse football sports and friends" he said "cool sounds like we got some what in common" I say "yea" he agrees .
"So wait what's going on with gabby and Theodore" I asked " I don't know they have been pretty close for a while but haven't started officially dating yet" he says I laugh "well great if we hang out now I could be third wheeling" I joke "don't worry you can just call me so we can sit in the corner and make fun of them" he jokes " sounds like a plan" I said .
"Hey want a burger" Grayson asks "nah I'm vegetarian" I said "really?" He asks "yep" I said then Hannah comes and gives me a high five "same" she says "veggie buddies" I joke we all laugh.
When everyone leaves it's just gabby and I. "So I obviously bought face masks and new nail polish and I prepared" she says "wow" I said .
We sit on her bed and first she does my makeup cause she insisted. Then we painted each other's nails it was really funny. Then my hair "you always wear it up" she says "I like it" I said "well there is no problem with it but New is good" she says "ok go for it" I said . She straightened my hair and then I took a picture for memories. Then face mask time yay I took off all my makeup and put my hair up and we had fun with the face masks.
We took pictures it was really fun! And at last we went to bed I'm actually having fun and getting better socially!
