The door opened quickly, it sounded like people had fallen over or stumbled in. Lola lifted her head as groggily as she could as she saw one of the doctors across the room stumbling forwards and Dr Jones with a couple of nurses at the door.
Dr Jones immediately ran over to Lola, he held her face in his hands, "are you okay?" he asked examining her.
Lola seemed somewhat shocked by this, "yeah, yeah I'm fine," she informed as she pulled her face from his hands.
He sighed with relief, "the door had been locked, you didn't lock it did you?" Dr Jones asked.
Lola shook her head as she rubbed her eyes, "no..." she replied as she made as much of a fake yawn as possible.
Dr Jones looked at Annika for a moment, hatred in his eyes. "Why was she here by herself?" Dr Jones asked in a cold voice.
"We only left for a moment, sir," one of the nurses informed, "there was a 319."
Dr Jones didn't seem too impressed, "call the Dark Guards," he informed, Lola went wide eyed as Annika tensed up, "have them come and pick this Humanoid up."
Lola went wide eyed, "no! Please no, you can't give her over to the Dark Guards, they work for the Dark Angels, they literally have similar names and everything!" Lola exclaimed.
Dr Jones seemed to ignore Lola as he looked at the now untied ropes on the bars and Annika's hands lying on the bed itself.
"Please Dr Jones, they are making something. They're planning some sort of attack on the town," Lola informed as she pulled against Dr Jones, one of the nurses grabbed Lola, "There are these things in the cemetery! The Dark Angels are based there! Dr Jones, please, don't send her there!"
The doctor and the nurse ran out of the room to go get the Dark Guards when Dr Jones dismissed them. "Please, Dr Jones. Annika is my friend; we narrowly escaped them last time!" Lola cried, "they did all this to us."
Dr Jones was now red in the face as he angrily grabbed Lola by the collar and scrunched it. Lola went wide eyed as Dr Jones lifted her body weight, "if she is your friend then why has she already infected you?" he asked.
Lola pulled against the hand he had, fearfully looking into his eyes, "Dr Jones..."
"I tested your blood and that thing's blood as well; you have similar traits to that. If it's your friend, why has it charmed you?" he growled, Lola felt her heart run up her throat, "I've seen this before Lola, this very same fiend infected my own daughter, this exact one!" he yelled, "so don't go telling me it's such a friend like person, because it's nothing but a cold hearted killer!" he snapped as he practically tossed Lola back to the ground so much she nearly fell backwards.
Lola was speechless as she stood there quiet for a moment, "What are you..."
Dr Jones' fists were scrunched so tightly they were trembling, "shocked? I tested it for my own daughters infection... it is the exact same thing that had hurt her years ago, and what makes you think that won't happen to you?" he asked.
Lola shook her head, "you have to be wrong. Annika wouldn't..." what the Dark Angel said finally made some sort of sense, how the only time Annika had ever cried was when she had cursed a human... that was Annabelle? That was Dr Jones' daughter?
"E-even if that were true, Dr Jones... those Dark Guards will hand Annika over to the Dark Angels, where they will torture her into making her help them with some scheme they are planning on doing on the town. We barely managed to escape them last time, they hurt us, they nearly killed us, if you hadn't helped then she would be dead right now," Lola informed tearing up.
