Lola held her face and felt a smile creep to her lips as she started chuckling. She straightened up, tears swelling in her eyes and she smiled, "Got it."
Annika stared at her oddly for a moment as she flexed her hand.
Lola felt her tears escape her tear ducts as she pulled her hand from her sore cheek, "Look out!" she exclaimed as she pulled an arrow out, not bothering to load it, and threw it. Annika turned around as she ducked, the arrow hit a Dark Angel in the shoulder, but didn't make too much damage, but Annika pounced on her, making her fall over and her head slammed into the ground.
The Dark Angel groaned as she remained where she was.
Lola walked over to Annika and the Dark Angel, she picked up her arrow. She put it back in her quiver.
Annika looked over her shoulder to look at Lola, Lola somewhat laughed with disbelief. There was suddenly a high pitch scream that made Annika flinch.
Lola turned and watched as a woman was being held by the chest of her shirt from falling off the top of a roof by a laughing Dark Angel.
Annika got to her feet and watched as the Dark Angel continued to mock the woman as she scream in fear, her arms flailing around at nothing.
The Dark Angel was suddenly taken out by an Angel and the woman was sent falling.
Annika winced in pain when she heard her screech, but Lola felt the breeze of her running go by her and jump into the air, she caught the woman and opened her wings, gliding down to the ground and landing softly. Annika put the woman down and told her to hide.
Lola watched the woman run away.
Annika watched her go.
Lola looked down the street and watched as a group of Blood Crawlers were crawling in the streets in a perfect line. Their choir of clicking filled the street; they soon broke off, some going up walls while others started chasing after people.
Lola continued to look around at the chaos going on; people were running for their lives, their worst enemies possible were fighting against one another in the streets and above them, deformed bug humans were trying to attack them and, who knows when, trolls could be added to the equation.
Lola could feel herself panicking, Angel's words echoed in her ears about how she could prevent all this chaos... yet all this chaos continued onwards, and Lola didn't know how to stop it.
"How can we stop this?" Lola asked as she looked to Annika, Annika didn't answer. She grabbed Lola and started running down the street. Lola looked over her shoulder as she was forced to run onwards. The Blood Crawlers scratched at some of the doors; people were being forced further into the street.
"If we want to stop this, we need to find Elinor," Annika informed as she stopped, her ears started to twitch as she heard a faint yet constant clicking. She turned her head and looked at one building and went wide eyed.
"Get down!" she yelled as she practically fell to the ground.
Lola didn't get down in time. She went from looking straight down the street, to the whole world on its side, the ground cold and she felt like she had been hit by a truck. Lola's head thumped against her skull and her ears were growing deaf from the loud ringing that filled the air.
Lola tried to move, but every movement made her feel like she was going to be sick from pain.
Her whole body got painful pins and needles when someone rolled her over. Annika kneeled over her, offering no words of comfort, made Lola sit up. "Come on, we need to keep moving," she informed as she pulled Lola to her feet.
