Fan Fiction
Harry Styles and Brianna Mosley
Brianna’s POV
Chapter 1
It was a chilly night out, especially while walking down a vacant sidewalk in the big city. As I passed a small restaurant, closed for the night, I saw a tall figure walking towards me on the sidewalk. I walked a little quicker and looked down, pulling my sweatshirt hood over my head, and shoving my hands in my pocket. As I passed the figure, I looked up a little to see him give a small smile towards me. I gave a sigh of relief and smiled slightly back. My friends had told me it would be a short walk from the hotel we were staying at, The Hillridge Hotel, but they obviously went earlier, in the daytime, when it was less…freaky. The shadows on the side of the dark stores were giving me the creeps, and every time the wind blew a can or something out onto the concrete and made a noise, I almost had a heart attack.
I looked back out ahead of me and saw the neon sign of the restaurant my friends wanted me to meet them at, Zesties. I walked quickly up to the front door of the place, and then decided to call one of my friends to make sure they were still there. I dug my hand in my sweatshirt pocket to take out my phone, and turned it on. After a split second, the bright light of my background screen blinded me for a second. When my eyes focused again, I looked at the screen and smiled to myself. It was a picture of one of the boys from the biggest boy band in the world, One Direction. The one I favored most, Harold Edward Styles. Or as everyone just calls him, Harry Styles.
In this background picture of mine, Harry is at a CD signing, smiling for a camera with that heart-stopping cheeky grin of his. You can see him signing someone’s album with his sharpie, and the girl is almost in tears. I looked up a little on the picture to see his perfect hair. You can’t ever forget about the hair…the curly locks that every girl wants to touch at least ONCE in their life. Then they’re his eyes…the green orbs that could light up any room, and they basically just made me melt….
My thoughts were interrupted by someone opening the restaurant door beside me. I jumped a little and moved aside to let the person through. When the figure started walking down the street, I turned back to my phone and dialed my best friend, Karissa’s number. I put the phone up to my ear, listening to it ring a few times before her answering.
“Ello?” I heard her say, with a bunch of noise in the background.
“Hey, It’s Brianna,” I said. “You’re still at Zesties, right?”
“Yea, yea!” she squealed. Damn she sounded excited…
“Okay…um, I’ll be in there in a few seconds.”
“Kayyy!!!” she yelled over the noise before hanging up.
I chuckled to myself. It sounded like she was having fun. Putting my phone back in my pocket, I opened the door to Zesties. When I walked in, a hostess standing at a podium looked over towards me and smiled. I smiled back and walked up to her.
“Hello, welcome to Zesties! A table for how many?” she said while smiling an obviously forced, be-nice-to-the-customer, smile.
“Uh, well my friends are here already so…”
“Oh! Well in that case, what are your friends’ names?” the woman chirped.
“Karissa Manor, and Kirsten Stein…” I stated, tucking a piece of my blonde hair behind my ear.
The woman looked at a sheet of paper on her podium for a few moments then nodded to herself.
“Come with me,” she said while picking up a menu from under the podium. She started walking towards the back area quickly, and I skipped a few times to keep up. When she stopped, I looked up to see my best friends, Kirsten and Karissa, sitting opposite each other at an old looking table, both on their phones. When they saw that someone had stopped at their table, they looked up to see me. The hostess laid down the menu and walked away swiftly.
