He has a nightmare

I sat up sharply when I felt something drop onto my forehead and rubbed it and saw sweat? Why was I sweating, I wasn't hot or anything but then I looked towards my boyfriend Luke and he was mumbling while sweat was dripping off his forehead onto my pillow.

"Don't take her"

"please"

"no"

"Not her"

"(Y/N)"

"Don't leave me"

"NO" his mumbling had turned into screaming and I started to get worried. What was going on? He had been distant with me and was kind of ignoring me for the past couple of days and this is the first time we slept in the same bed after the death start was destroyed. I knew I had to wake him up now before it got anything worse for him. I got onto my knees in front of him and shook him gently

"Luke, luke" I said gently but he wasn't waking up and he was still screaming for me not to leave him and I started to get worried that he wasn't waking him up, so I shook him more vigorously

"LUKE WAKE UP" I shouted and he shot up and looked around while he was quickly breathing and then the door opened and Han and Leia walked through and looked at us with large amounts of worry and I looked at Luke

"Were okay guys just a bad dream" Luke said calmly but his eyes said something completely different. He was scared and that worried me because Luke hardly got scared really anymore since he became a Jedi.
Han and Leia left after nodding in acknowledgement and as soon as the door closed, Luke broke down right in front of my eyes and I quickly climbed int his lap and took his hands away from his face and pulled him into a tight hug and he hugged me back just as tight and sobbed into my neck, I shushed him gently and ran my fingers through his hair, knowing it calms him down and after a while he stopped sobbed and it went down to some sniffles every now and then.

I pulled up his head to look at me and I stared into the blue pools that are his eyes and I nearly got lost into him until I remembered the situation and he looked down at his hands that were now in his lap.

"Luke, please look at me" I said gently and he slowly looked at me

"What's going on Luke?" I asked and he shook his head

"Nothing (Y/N) it was just a bad dream that shook me up a little" he lied to me and looked at my face which was in no way convinced on the sentence he had just told me

"Luke seriously, I've never seen you that shaken up before and you've hardly talked to me since the Death Star was destroyed. Did I do something?" I asked getting worried if this was all my fault and I then looked down, convinced that I was the problem

"No, no, no, no, no, no you are in no way the problem at all, it's just something the emperor said before he died" Luke explained and I could tell he was telling the truth

"What did he say?" I asked and he held my face within his hands

"He warned me that everyone who wanted me dead, would go after you first and if I went to the dark side, I could be able to protect you and in that moment I was so conflicted in that moment but I knew that if I was to join the dark side, you would never join me as much as it made you safe and I couldn't live with that" he confessed and I looked at him shocked, he was always thinking bout me, over everything he chose me I leaned forward and kissed him softly and his hands instantly went to my waist and I melted into the kiss and we both pulled away after a few seconds

"Luke Skywalker, you must even stay in the light even when it can be more dangerous for anyone you love, we need you more than everything, I need you more than everything, I love you Luke and I can't loose you to anything, the dark side especially" I said and he pulled me into a massive hug

"I love you (Y/N) and I'm sorry for ignoring you" he said and I smiled

"Your lucky I love you enough to forgive you skywalker" I said while laughing quietly and Luke chuckled also

"Right come on, bed. You've got a meeting in the morning and I ain't gonna get in trouble for you being late" I said and he smiled at me and I got off him and laid down next to him and leaned on his chest listening to his heartbeat and I fell asleep to his heartbeat and his shallow breathing.
