"Amelia I have to show you something. But you have to promise not to tell anyone."

" I promise I wont tell anyone. Now can you explain to me what this is about?" She said looking around. We're sitting in a old tree house that I used to play in as a kid. Now I like to use it as a secret hide out.

"Okay. Just, don't be scared" I told her. She rolled her eyes.

"Me? Scared? Hah, right" I sighed and slowly opened my wings. Their length was longer then my arms and close to my height. Brown feathers with light golden feathers sprinkled through them.

"Holy mother of god."

"I know."

"I don't know what to say except..." I closed my eyes and waited for the hate. The anger. But it never came. "Okay. You're still Liam. You're still my best friend." I smiled and then we both went in for a hug.

"Thank you" I looked at her and smiled

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around the room. The walls were a sea green and I was holding a teddy bear in my arms.

"Well I guess that's one way to wake up" I roll over and then grimace in pain "Right, my shoulder" I sigh and roll back over to my back, and slowly sit up. When I looked out the window is was a starting sunrise. I stand up and spread my wings out to stretch them. I open the door and look down the hallway.

"Ameliiiaaaa" I heard no response and quietly moved down the hallway and turned my head around the corner. Amelia was standing in the kitchen making something, wearing headphones of course. I slowly made my way behind her and grabbed her shoulders and screamed. She whipped around with alarm in her eyes and a spatula, ready to attack me. I smiled at her and she frowned.

"You know one day you're going to do that to me, and when I accidentally stab you, I'm not going to feel bad" she turned back around and finished shuffling whatever was in the pan. I went over to the coffee machine and started making a cup of coffee.

"How did you sleep?" Amelia asked me. She turned and placed some pancakes on a plate for me.

"Good. I don't really remember falling asleep, did I sleep through the night?" She nodded as she poured batter into the pan.

"Yeah, after you came out of the bathroom, you came into my room and layed down. After a while you just fell asleep. Your wings were everywhere." I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Yeah I'm really sorry about that." She shrugged and flipped the pancake.

"I didn't mind that much. I stayed up pretty late, and I kind of just slid under the covers, and your wings just folded up. Easy peasy mac and cheesy" she smiled and put the other pancake on a plate and sat down. "Enough about that. How are you and Isaac?"

I smiled wide "We're amazing." She rolled her eyes and then glared at me.

"You haven't told him about your wings have you?" I sighed and leaned back in my chair.

"No way. I think he's amazing. But we've only been dating for eight months. It feels to soon, I still want to wait it out." She raised an eyebrow.

"I suppose. But I mean, when you do tell him, do you think he'll be okay with it? I mean I know you got lucky with me being all cool with it, but not everyone is like me." She poured half the bottle of syrup onto her pancakes. "And you know, he might be totally chill with it. But you have to factor in the 'what if' part of it"

"Yeah I know. But I really think he'll be okay. I think we have this real connection, and I honestly think I can trust him" I smiled and got up and went to the cabinet, grabbing the peanut butter.
