I am not innocent,
I am inexperienced
There's a difference
Do my scars look innocent?
Do these cuts look innocent?
Is a broken home innocent?
I have been locked away in a cage since I was born
Is that innocent to you?
I am not innocent
Nothing about my life is innocent
That word "innocent"
Is an insult to me
That word hurts me
It cuts into me
Stop using that word
That word makes me so self conscious
I hate that word
It makes my heart ache
And my ears bleed
I never want to hear that word again
I am not innocent
Innocent: free from moral wrong; not corrupted. simple; naive.
