Makayla was not the same after she found the news. She didn't wanna be in the world anymore. The story was tragic. Makaylas sister, Makenzie, had cancer.
Makayla found out when she was 10, which she was 12 now. Her sister was 8 which she was turning 10 this year. Makayla's family moved to Memphis to be close to St. Jude where Makenzie was.
They lived in Bartlett and Makayla went to a school called Elmore Park Middle with a total of 700 students!
She really didn't know anybody but she made a friend fast. His name was Matthew Parks.
Matthew was turning 12 in two days so they were about the same age. They face timed every night until 9 because that was his bedtime. Makayla really didn't wanna tell Matthew the news but she did. He promised not to tell. They were BFF's.
