Horror At Your Doorstep

This story is set in a small compact street named Nightingale Street. At number 7 a single woman lived with her dog named Barney, and the woman was called Olivia. Olivia was happy living in her house with 3 bedrooms and her dog. Unfortunately, Olivia was jobless however had wealthy parents that passed down their money to her through their will. She has had no trouble in her house before and has never feeled threatened or in danger once. However, that was all about to change.

One day when Olivia awoke she knew something wasn't right, she had no idea what however she just had a feeling. However, she carried on with the day ahead making breakfast and lunch and enjoying catching up with her tv programs in the afternoon sitting with her dog. However a knock at the door interrupted her program and she went to answer it. Stood there was a young man, in his early 40's, with a brochure in his hand for cleaning your gutters and roofs. He said to Olivia: "Hello madam, you are looking well today. Could I interest you in cleaning your gutters and roof?" He said it with confidence.

Olivia responded interested: "Maybe, keep talking, my gutters and roofs won't clean themselves."

"Well I have to say my boys do an excellent job and it would be half price as you are so nice." He responded quickly.

" Alright then!" Olivia said happily, "Why not? Won't do any harm! I will just go and get my money to pay for it now!" Olivia walked off up the stairs to go get her purse, leaving the front door wide open...
