~The Boy Named Nathan Sykes Part 1~
The car door slammed shut as dad got out of the car. I sat in the car, staring at my converse sneakers that I was wearing. Everything felt wrong, and weird. I felt like I wasnt even me anymore. There was a loud tap on my window. It was my obnoxious brother, Andrew. "Get out of the car. No one is going to unpack for you." he said loudly so it would travel through the thick glass. I sighed as I forcefully pushed the door opened, hitting Andrew in the stomach. "Get out of my way, punk." I said, pushing past him to grab my luggage.
I yanked the earbuds from my ears, wrapping them around my iPod. When I finally got all of my luggage to my new room I sat myself down on my bed. I couldn’t believe my parents moved me all the way to England just because Dad's job got relocated. I got moved away from all of my friends and family and I honestly couldnt feel any worse. I looked around my room, it looked vacant and dry. There was no color becasue the house was brand new and needed personalization from its new owners. I didnt even want to think about re-decorating my room, my old room was perfect. My entire life back home perfect. Leave it to my parents to ruin my life. I walked out of my room angrily slamming my bedroom door shut.
I stomped downstairs passed my mom heading for the front door. "Riley where are you going sweetheart?" My mom asked.
"Away from you!" I shouted, yanking the front door shut behind me. I walked down the sidewalk and into the driveway the leaded out into the road. My earbuds were again firmly put back into place, drowning out the reality surrounding me. I was almost out of the driveway when I got knocked over by something hitting me in the head. My earbuds were knocked out of my ears and i hit my head hard on the pavement. "Ouch!" I yelped.
"Whoa! Im so sorry! Are you okay?" It was a male voice, I could make that much out. I tried to open my eyes and see past the blurry mess that was presented before me. There was a boy hovering over me, maybe a few years older than me. "Can you get up?" he asked, his voice full of concern. The blurriness faded and I could make out his face.
He had bronze brown hair that was fringed in the front, slightly covering his whole forehead. His eyes were soft green with a hint of blue hiding within them. His features were simple, but all complemented eachother. "Yeah, I can get up." I said as I stood up to face him. I finally noticed that it was a soccer ball that hit me in the head. I looked at it with disgust. "Yeah sorry, I'm working on my aim." The boy said, his accent very apparent. "Clearly." I shot back.
He looked to the ground. I realized I was being rude, after all he did say sorry and tried to help. "Im Riley. Just moved here." I offered in a small voice.
"My name is Nathan. Nathan Sykes." he replied. "Looks like we are neighbors, Riley."

I hate crushes. They never end well for me. They go down in flames likes a brush fire on the hills. I just met this boy. JUST MET HIM! I cant already feel this. Its just like before with Steven, only this time, I think it could go somewhere.
I lie wide awake, staring at the vast white ceiling above me, wondering if he was to thinking about me. -Calm down Riley, it was like a three minute conversation. And he hit you in the head with a soccer ball!! But, he did say sorry. And he was so sweet about it and-- Oh enough! My Thoughts ran wild like a fierce cheetah searching for prey.
