"Give her to us..."

Lucas opened his eyes to nothing but darkness. He groaned as he stretched and stood up. Where was that voice coming from?

He tried taking a step, only to hit a wall. He groaned as he rubbed his nose and looked around. A light shown a few seconds later and it was...

"Olivia!" A robin turned towards the boy. She had luscious orange hair that was tightened into a ponytail. She wore a nice light gray dress with a black belt. She also had a nice pair of Mary Janes she had over some white lacey stockings. Her bright green eyes looked over at Lucas innocently.

"Lucas..." Olivia took a step towards him. He smiled as he held his hand out for her to take. She stopped about ten inches away from him.

"Olivia, you okay?" Lucas asked her. She smiled evilly as she looked at him. "Give her to us..." she said in a demonic voice. Her face became corrupted as she grew horrific fangs and pitch black eyes. She grew claws the size of knife blades, and laughed demonically as she stared Lucas down.

Lucas tried to fly away, but demonic Olivia grabbed his ankle and threw him down. Lucas whimpered and tried to back up when Olivia grabbed him by the neck. "Give her to us..." she said once more. As she was about to slice his throat open...

Lucas gasped and sat up in his bed, screaming her name. He sat there for a good minute, contemplating what just happened. His alarm clock was continuing to go off as it read the time. 9:23 a.m. Lucas looked at it and sighed.

Good morning, cruel world, he thought as he swung his legs over the side of his bed. After realizing he had no shirt on, he grabbed an outfit from his messy dresser and closet and headed for the bathroom. He crept down the hall, not wanting to wake anyone up. But, being blind in one eye, he bumped into the railing of the stairs. God forbid I can't see, he thought to himself as he continues to walk to the bathroom.

Finally, reaching the bathroom, Lucas smiles to himself and grasps the doorknob, only to realize the door was locked. He groaned as he knocked lightly on the door. The door swung open to reveal Olivia, towel in hair and toothbrush in her mouth. She grins as she says, "Hey there, Lucas. Whatcha need?"

"I need in the bathroom, please." he tell her. "It's all yours." Olivia went past him, leaving the bathroom empty and free. As he almost enters the bathroom, he looks back at Olivia, who was now walking back to her room. He took a look at her robin wings and shutters as he enters and locks the bathroom.

Water washes down on his wings as he scrubs himself up and down. He didn't like getting his wings wet, for it takes them forever to dry, but today, he didn't care. All he could think about was his nightmare. What did it mean? Did it have a meaning at all? These thoughts drilled in his mind as he rinsed his body off and turned the water off. He grabs a towel as he runs it through his hair. He slips his clothes on after drying himself off, takes a look in the foggy mirror, and takes a step outside the door.

"Thank God!" A voice said as a blur went past Lucas. The blur went into the bathroom and slammed the door shut. Confused, Lucas went downstairs and into the kitchen. Olivia was at the stove, making breakfast. She looks at Lucas as he accidentally runs into a wall.

"Oh, Lucas, are you okay?!" Olivia says as she sprints towards him. Lucas grabbed his forehead and groaned. "Being blind sucks." he says as Olivia helps him to the table. "You are only half blind, don't exaggerate." she replies, adding a laugh to her response. Lucas grinned as he felt a cold breeze pass him. He looked over at a tall teenager with white wings covered in black dots. He was still in his pajamas, and his gray hair covered almost all of his face.

"Hedwig, my bro!" Lucas says, holding out a hand. Hedwig grins and slaps his hand. "How's the old looker, Luke?" he asked. Lucas covers his right eye, which was mostly white. "Getting better every day." Lucas laughed with Hedwig. He sits beside Lucas as two plates were set in front of the boys. "Bacon and French Toast sound good to you guys?" Olivia asks, going back to the stove. Hedwig chows down but Lucas eats slowly and silently.

As the two ate, a short Raven comes in the kitchen and plops down in a chair. He had black hair with his tips dyed red. He wore a baby blue t shirt with some red plaid night pants. He sighed as he laid his blue eyes on Lucas and glares.

"For a fast flyer, you sure take forever in the bathroom, Sparrow!" the boy said. "At least I can fly, Avery." Lucas shot back. Avery shut his mouth and looked down as Olivia set a plate down in front of him. He slices up his French Toast evenly and eats one of the squares.

Olivia keeps glancing over at the stairs. Lucas notices this and asks her about it. "What's wrong, Liv?" Lucas says. "Well, Star isn't down here yet, and I'm kind of worried." Olivia replies as she sets two plates on the table; one for herself, and one for Star. Lucas quietly chuckles as he stands up. "I will go get her." Lucas tells her. "She's fine."

Lucas carefully makes his way up the stairs. He walks to the end of the hall to a door covered in pink paint and unicorn stickers. He smiles as he grasps the doorknob and turns it. He opens the door to find the little starling curled up in her bed, still sleeping with the millions of stuffed animals on her bed. He goes over to her bed and shakes her gently.

"Star, wake up." Lucas says softly. Star slowly opens her eyes as she sits up and stretches out her wings. "Hi, big brother." she said with a tired voice. "Liv made some bacon and French toast." he says to his sister. "Would you like to come downstairs and eat?" "Oh, yes!" Star exclaimed as she hopped out of bed. She goes over to her dresser and grabs her favorite teddy bear, the white one with a blue bow tie. She joins Lucas at the door and they make their way to the kitchen.

"Good morning, sunshine." Olivia says as Star takes a seat next to her. "Hi, Liv!" Star replies as she takes her fork in hand and slices a piece of French toast. "Oh! Lucas!" Olivia says to her friend. "Do you know what today is?" "Yes, I do." Lucas says with a sly grin. Avery knew that grin from anywhere. "Oh, no." he said as he realized what this means. "It's Training Day!" Hedwig said before anyone else could. The table laughed, but Avery groaned. "Why do we have to train?!" Avery asked, slamming his fist on the table. "You want to be strong to fight off those lab testers, so we have to train." Lucas told him. "When everyone gets finished, we will go out to the backyard and start our flight stage."

Lucas turned his body to the left as he dodged a tree. He turned right to dodge another. He did a 360 as he turned his body upright and flew above the trees. He glided until he caught a glimpse of the house. He sighed as he turned around to let everyone catch up. Star was the first to catch up. She flapped her tiny wings rapidly to reach Lucas's altitude. Lucas chuckled as he held out his arms to hold Star. Star collapsed into his arms and huffed.

"Flying is a real workout." she said as he caught her breath. "Your wings will get stronger, Starlight." Lucas said. He looked back to see Olivia and Hedwig catching up. When they reached the siblings, they noticed Avery was nowhere to be seen.

"Where's Avery?" Olivia asked. "You know him, Liv." Lucas says. "He is the slowest flyer out of all of us. He'll catch up, eventually." Just as he spoke, a small figure popped out of the trees and slowly made its way over to the group. He wheezed as he glared at Lucas. "Asshole..." he muttered.

Lucas led the group back to the house. As he landed, he felt a weird feeling come from his stomach. It wasn't crucial, so he just ignored it. He set Star down as everyone else landed on the grassy plain. "I have had enough for one day..." Avery said as he layed in the grass. Hedwig and Olivia joined him. Star giggles and lays down next to Avery. Lucas, not wanting to stand out, settled with the spot next to Olivia.

As he layed next to Olivia, she looked over at him. She grabs his hand, which causes Lucas to look at her. She smiles wide with a blush on her face. He felt heat rush up to his face as he squeezed her hand. She scoots closer to him, and they lay there, with everyone else, gazing up at the sky.
