Louis' POV
-
Just as we had gotten to Welshpool, the bastard we were hunting had been informed he was being hunted and fled the area and we were now on our way to Westbury, England. Both Ed and I were a tad upset because we both realised it might take longer to get to him than we had hoped and we were both frustrated about how the hell someone found out we were hunting him and got the news to him, but he was about an hour ahead of us. Rather than being in a car for two hours, we were now looking at another three hours and I was not happy that we were now going to be in the car for five bloody hours.
I had called to inform Harry on what had happened and he seemed okay with it, not in the least bit bothered which I was glad for. Then he told me not to die and the pressure was now on. That was going to be the most difficult thing to avoid now that he's mentioned it.
I was currently sat in the passenger side of Ed's car playing with my mobile and messing around with the useless, pre-installed apps that had no real advantage to my mobile and were irrelevant and worthless. God, I hate pre-installed apps.
After a while of aimlessly looking at things on my mobile, I finally decided just to set it down and look out the window. It was night time and there wasn't much to look at you. I could see perfectly in the dark, but it was rather late and we were the only ones on the road. Everyone else was weak by sleeping. Who needs sleep? I can go days without it.
Groaning loudly at the lack of good songs on the radio, I finally shut it off and stared boredly at Ed, "We should play a game."
"We're in the middle of God damned nowhere, Louis, and I'm driving, what do yous suspect we play?" he rose an eyebrow questioningly but not taking his eyes off the road.
"God fucking dammit, I don't bloody know, I'm just bored. I don't know what to do with myself," I whined, running my hands over my face and wildly through my hair. I've never been so damned bored in my life. If Harry were here I wouldn't be this bored, he wouldn't let me get this bored.
Ed laughed and shrugged, "Actual work is boring, what can I say? I'm not enjoying this either, so at least you're not alone in that. We should be getting to Westbury in about an hour an a half." With one last groan of annoying bored, I slumped back into my seat and rested my head on the window to look out the windscreen and the dark motorway in front of us.

Ed lied to me. It had taken us two and a half hours and then for him to compel a hotel clerk to give us a room on the top floor when she had refused to allow us to get one because it was so late and we didn't have any reservations in advance. The room was quite large with two queen sized beds.
From what Ed was able to gather, the vampire we were hunting was somewhere in Westbury Centre and the hotel we were staying at was fairly close to where the elder believed the vampire was.
"Why are all the hotel clerks at family hotels such prats? This is why I hate humans," Ed grumbled, running his hand through his already messy ginger hair.
"And you chose a rather expensive one as well," I pointed out. "Perhaps it's because the majority of families who come to this hotel are snobs as well as the wretched workers."
"One hundred and twenty quid a fucking night. God, I hate humans so much."
I laughed as I made my way towards the bed nearest the window, "Don't you work to entertain humans? You're pretty popular, too. Eleanor used to listen to your songs a lot."
"Used to?"
"Yeah, then she met you and you sing to here whenever she asks... so..." I trailed on and shimmied beneath the duvet. Ed chuckled and shook his head with amusement as he got beneath the comfortably heavy duvet.
