Guess I'm Truly Not Sorry

Chapter One

Love at first sight - does it really exist?

14th June, 2018.

22-year old Billie Vogel was in her apartment with her roommate Autumn and was watching 'Love, Actually' on the couch in the living room whilst eating chocolate ice cream. Autumn was talking to her friends on her computer and occasionally glanced over at Billie. During the movie, Autumn leaped onto the sofa and sat next to Billie.
"Billie, guess what?" says Autumn. Billie puts down her upcoming ice cream scoop and looks at Autumn.
"What?" Billie asks excitedly.
"Veronica invites you, me and a bunch of our friends out to go clubbing tonight".

"Cool. When do we have to be there by?" Billie asks, continuing to eat her ice cream.
"We have 3 hours" Autumn replies. Billie checked her phone for the time and it said 4:27 pm.
"So, leave here at half 7. Gotcha" Billie added. She went back to her movie and Autumn went to pick out her outfit. She looked back at Billie and said
"You not gonna come and plan your outfit?". Billie looked at Autumn and stopped eating the ice cream.
"I have 3 hours. I'll be fine" she adds.

"Huh. That's a shame. You could've gotten some help from me and maybe borrow some of my clothes..." Autumn said as she slowly walked away. Billie's eyes flowed with shock and surprise so she turned off the TV, move her ice cream aside and run to Autumn. The girls scream through both of their wardrobes and looked for the perfect outfit to wear. After trying on countless cute tops and bottoms, nothing suited Billie.

"I don't understand. When I usually wear these, I feel super confident and a little bit hot. But now, I feel like I don't look anything like it" says Billie. Autumn raises and eyebrow and walks towards Billie.
"Maybe the problem isn't how you feel..." Autumn says. Billie looks at her as she thinks.
"Maybe the problem is what you're wearing" Autumn adds. "This may be a shock to you but, you may have to try on some dresses" Autumn says. Billie's jaw drops.
"No, please! I'll make a compromise. Instead of wearing a dress, I'll wear a jumpsuit. Yeah?" Billie suggests.
"Fine" Autumn replies. Between the two girls, there were 9 jumpsuits.

Although Autumn and Billie shares some clothes, they had different size jumpsuits. Billie has to wear one of hers so in all, Billie had 4 jumpsuits to try on.
"Is there a colour that you think looks nice on me?" Billie asked. Autumn thought for a minute.
"What colours do you have?" Autumn asks back.
"White, pink nude, bright orange and black".
"Oh. I had 2 colours in mind that I think look great on you".
"What were they?".
"Red and purple".
"Ahh. Well, out of the options, which one do you think will look nice?".

"I think the pink nude would look good with those black leather high heels you have. The pair with the thick heel". Billie smiles and shows Autumn the whole outfit.
"Nice! You'll certainly find a man tonight. If you want some accessories, wear some gold and it'll go nicely with the outfit". Then, Billie laid her outfit on her bed and had help from Autumn to do her hair. Billie put it half up and half down but got Autumn to curl her hair. Autumn braided her hair with two braids going from the top of her head down to the very ends of her hair.

The girls then had pizza for dinner and watched 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina'. Autumn looks over at Billie and smiles. Billie then turns off the TV as she finishes her 4th and last pizza slice and stands up.
"Let's go and finish getting ready and then go have some fun!" says Billie all pumped up. She puts her hand out to help Autumn up so they can go and get ready. Autumn swallowed her last pizza slice and took Billie's hand. Autumn stood up and they played some music whilst getting themselves ready.

After almost 2 hours of dancing, getting dressed, putting on makeup, fixing hair and packing tons of money and pads just in case they leak during the night, the girls were finally ready and had 15 minutes spare. Billie was wearing a gold necklace with her outfit that was given to her by her mother and had a black handbag that matched her shoes. Autumn was wearing an orange flowery dress with white high heels and white earrings and also had a red purse.

Autumn and Billie looked at their phones.
"Do you wanna start walking there?" Billie asked. Autumn smiled, nodded her head and then thought of a plan.
"Yeah, let's go through the park. It'll be quicker to get there" she added.
"Are you sure?".
"What? You don't trust me?".
"No, I do. I just would rather-".
"Great. The park it is". Autumn grabbed ahold of Billie's arm and just like that, they were headed to the park.
