You sit up quickly, snapping out of the memory when the phone beside you rings.
"Hello?"
"Matthias, please. Is he okay?"
Silence.
"MATTHIAS PLEASE."
You begin to sob as there's more silence. Why won't he speak? Your hands are shaking, the steel mask of strength melted.
"Hey, (name.)"
"LUKAS!"
"See? Nor's okay. Don't worry, he still loves you. Come on down and visit him."
Within twenty minutes you arrive at the mangled nation's room and tackle Matthias.
"Calm down! We've got an injured man in here!" Norway shows the faintest trace of a smile while Denmark has his back turned.
"So, when did you wake up? Is your leg okay? What exactly did they do?"
"SLOW THE FUCK DOWN, DEN."
"ARE YOU OKAY? JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION."
