Gradually Falling

Gummy Bear

I rush towards the entrance of the Walmart not bothering to wait for Drew. I already got the cart and load it with different junk foods and assorted flavors of popcorn.

"Hey you left me back there" Andrew said while jogging towards my direction."I'm hungry" I complained ."Okay,okay fine" he scoffed. After a short silence of walking.Andrew's tummy growled."You hungry?" I asked. "No, it's maybe because of what I ate earlier" he said while clutching his stomach."I ,I ate Mcchoco Potato".

"Huh? What kind of food is that?"I scrunched my nose in disgust.

"I will be right back,just meet me here later okay?" before I could reply he made his way towards the restroom.I shrugged and get back to where I stopped.

Going to my favorite food section,I went to the stall of candies or may I call 'heaven'.As I walk to the aisle looking for my favorite gummy bear.As I pass the different sweets:licorice,skittles,nerds,and candy canes and finally the gummies section.Gummi worms, Gummi Cheries, Gummi cola bottles, Gummi fish, Gummi banana strawberry ring, but still my beloved gummy bear is still no where to be found .Scanning all of the shelves I saw the last stock of the gummy bear in the shelf.The last one in the row.

As I'm about to get the last pack; a man with a maroon hoodie grab my baby(Yes,you read it right.I call it my baby).

"Uhmm,that's mine" I pointed out.

He looks at me ;then he flips the gummy bear and look at it like he is the examining the content."I don't see your name written on it" he said in a matter of fact tone.

"You don't even know my name" I mimic his tone.

"Believe me sweetheart, I know everything"

Goose bumps spread all over my body ,as I realized what he just called me.

He removes his hood and looked at me straight in the eyes. I saw his eyes, I mean his gorgeous grey eyes, he have a long lashes and a tamed bristly eyebrows. I'm stuck staring at his eyes.In his eyes; I can see mysterious glint that I can't explain.

But then I swear I saw him looked at my chest and I saw the sudden change at his expression. I want to slap him but I can not move ,still starstruck,

"If you mind I have a gummy bear to buy and savior" then he winks."Goodbye Felicity" he said and turn around and start to leave.

I was standing there alone; confused and angry.

Drew and I met up to the place where we last saw each other. We made our way to the cashier. I am lost in thoughts.

"Ma'am ,ma'am Felicity? You're next" the cashier said.

"Yeah, yes? How did you know my name?" I asked.

He points at my chest.My eyes went big.And I follow the direction of his index finger's pointing. In there, I found my id hanging from its lace and the realization hits me, why does the guy with the maroon hoodie knew my name. I mental slap myself.

But why's the sudden change of expression?
