Chapter I: Sushi

Cancer (Selena) POV

Already July. I'm really close to my 18th birthday. As always, I have no plans for celebrating it. I may just spend it at home, but I'm going to turn 18 so it's not convenient. Going to the club is quite not my type, either. I wish I still had my old group of friends. Sagittarius always knew how to make everyone laugh and Aquarius always had the weirdest, but best ideas. Anyway, I think I'm going to inspect the town, since I'm fresh here... Let's see if they have some sushi places.

1 hour later

I put in my earbuds, listening to the same song I've been listening for the last month. I'm already at the center of this town. It seems like everyone is drinking and having fun. I'm feeling a bit anxious about all these people. I just want to avoid trouble, but people here look very out of control.

I finally found a sushi place, pretty far away from home. I'm already tired after walking so much, but it's 7 PM, so I don't need to worry yet. Going in, I notice the place is almost empty. Maybe people are just not passionate about trying new things. I mean, who am I to speak, I'm the type who likes the most comfort and the least risk.
Sitting on a bench, the sushi chef, with a tendency to speak in japanese, helps me choose my next meal; it's my first time eating sushi, so I nicely asked him to guide me. His wrinkled eyes inspire me happiness and peace of mind. His politeness can be noticed from his smile alone. What a really good vibe! I'm already in love this place. Savouring my salmon maki, I notice the sushi assistant. He's an average height, light brown hair, brown eyes and you could tell from a mile away that he is bored as hell. All I can feel is pity, for he looks quite depressed. I want to ask him if he's alright, but I have a feeling that I'm going to get rejected. Everytime this happens, my heart starts beating very fast, so I need to stop thinking about it. Maybe next time.

As I walk out of the restaurant, another guy just walks in, brutally. He is wearing only black, with a large hood covering half of his forehead and truly dark hair. I can't see his eyes properly, but I have a feeling that I don't even want to. He's radiating a scary energy, but intriguing, like the smell of his cologne. As I walk past him, I turn my head around just for a little bit. He is really tall. Nah, maybe I am just really short. I might just go home now, with my mind thinking of the stranger that awakened interest inside me.

Scorpio (Jaiden) POV

I swear to God, I fucking hate summer. I can't understand how these guys just waste every single day of their lives. I mean, who am I to speak. I love staying at home, doing unproductive things. I guess I'm not an alcohol freak, at least. It's good that I have a sushi place to visit everyday, but damn, I hate walking next to all these loud dummies. I've never been hyped with going to clubs or parties. Today is just another day from the rest of my life.

As I arrive to the sushi place, I see a girl from behind the windows, with dark brown hair, short to medium, with a bob haircut; not the typical fluffy bob, but more like a thin one. The one thing that I can't believe is seeing someone at the sushi restaurant after 6 PM. I always go after that hour, because it is empty. She turns around to stand up and I get a glimpse of her face. She's very pale. She's walking out of the store exactly as I enter. I don't want to look at her, she gave me a soft & intimidated kind of vibe from afar. My anxiety tells me that I don't want to look like a freak this time, so I walk past her with a straight face, not moving a muscle, aside from my legs. She smells like sweet, fresh vanilla... But we'll probably never meet again, so I try to forget about my anxiety and order the same salmon nigiri as I do everyday. The fact that I felt such an anxiety, though, is already questionable. Deep inside me, I feel like I want to meet her again, somehow.
