Meeting

"So you brought us to LA. May I ask why?" Ken raised his eyebrows at Sandeul. 

"Oh come on! I've never been to LA before and you both said the place was nice" he shrugged. ( a/n: I donno if it's true, okay?") "Why are you whining? It was my turn to select anyways. You should respect my decisions you know." he said pouting. "Ah, don't pout. I'm just asking. Chill" Ken waved him off.  

"So, where's the hotel?" Jin asked taking his bag from the luggage claim. "It's near the beach!" Sandeul chirped. 

Jin smiled looking at his excited friend. He took in a deep breath. Maybe he'll be happy for the next 3 months. After all, he loved the sea. 

"Ah! I'm finally done!" You stretched your arms as you looked at your fully written stack of papers with a satisfied smile. Bogum gave you a disbelieving look and continued writing his own project report. Giving him a smug smile you submitted your paper and left the classroom.

Leaving the campus you checked the time. It was 3:45. You lazily strolled towards the cafe down the street.

"Have a nice day!" You heard the familiar voice on entering the cafe and your face stretched into a smile.

"Rosieeee!" you wrapped the familiar old lady in a tight back hug. "How is my favorite customer!" she removed herself from your embrace and ruffled your hair. 

"And where is your little bug?" You blushed at that. "He's not mine" you sighed "and to answer your question, he's still writing his paper". "Oh dear, ignore my old mouth, okay! Now tell me Y/n, would you like your favorite cookie?" she asked with kind eyes and squeezed your cheeks. After all she was the only one who knew about your feelings for Bogum."You are the best Rosie" you smiled instantly cheering up and skipped to her counter. Since you came to LA, "Rosie's Cafe" became your second home. You treated Rosie like your grandma and she loved you like her own.  

"It's on the house" she said giving you her special double choco-chip cookie. You took the slightly warm cookie in your hand and thanked her. Taking a bite of the cookie you mumbled "I'll leave now Rosie " and you waved at her.

"Have a good day, and visit me again" she said smiling and turned towards her cash counter. Sneakily shoving the money on her counter you left the cafe and started walking towards your safe haven. You had some time to kill.  

"Bro! I ate too much!" Sandeul whined patting his belly. Jin gave him a nasty glare and continued shoving the fifth lobster down his face. Ken dropped his spoon and glanced at his two weird best friends and shook his head smiling.

"Let's finish quickly and walk along the beach" Ken said sipping his coke. Both of his friends nodded eagerly at that.

Jin checked the time. It was 4. "Seriously! We took one hour to eat" Jin said still not believing it. "Not we, you. We finished ages ago" Sandeul gave him a one-eye-brow-raised look. Jin ignored him and continued walking to the bill desk. Paying their bills they walked out of the not-so-popular diner together. 

"Let's go to the beach now. Kaja." Jin said putting  his arms around Ken and Sandeul's shoulder.  "Aye aye captain!" both of them shouted and ran towards the beach.

The beach was fairly empty. It was a weekday after all. Only few older people and some children were seen. Jin, who was wearing his cap real low, removed it from his head and finger combed his hair. He hated being popular worldwide sometimes. 

"Wah, bada da!" he smiled saying that, feeling nostalgic . He remembered the time with Yoongi. He shook away his thoughts and smiled when he heard two voices chanting the same beside him.

With the salty smell around him and the cool sea-breeze blowing through his hair, Jin felt at peace. He felt liberated as if all his problems left him, like vapor. Lost in his thoughts Jin walked ahead of his friends, without noticing. 

"Yah! Ji.." Ken covered Sandeul's mouth before he could finish his sentence. "Let him be for some time, he deserves it" Ken said removing his hand. 

Sandeul nodded, his eyes becoming soft "but let's follow him from behind. I don't want him to get lost on the first day" he joked. Ken agreed and both of them started walking slowly behind Jin.

You were sitting on the sand, under the shade of two palm trees which were just beside each other. There were small bushes around, and other trees cast their shade too making it a nice cool shady spot. When Bogum found the spot and those trees four years ago, he brought you there and carved his name on one tree and yours on the other. " We'll be beside each other like these trees, forever. Promise?" he had said flashing you his cute dimpled smile. 

From then onward this place was the secret haven for the both of you.

Stretching your legs you brought out the pack of your favorite chocolate milk-shake from your bag, while listening to your favorite song, Epiphany. Sipping the cold drink, you closed your eyes, feeling Kim Seokjin's voice wrap around you like a warm fuzzy blanket. He was your bias after all.

Taking the last sip you opened your eyes. The song finished at the same time as your phone started vibrating. Picking it up you saw "Best Bug" calling you.

"Yah! Y/n are you not human? How could you finish writing so fast? Even if you finished early you could've waited for me! I'm your best friend! How could you do this to me!" he started shouting in a single breath. 

"Breathe Gummy, breathe" you chuckled, knowing his habit of rambling. "I bought orange juice and snickers for my best friend, but where is he? I'm waiting for him." He stopped ranting at that.

"Your best friend is two minutes away, wait at our spot, I know you're there" he excitedly shouted and disconnected the call. "What am I gonna do with you" you chuckled. Playing the song "I Love You" covered by Kim Seokjin you popped your headphones back in place. 

In the distance you could see a man walking towards the place you were sitting. You thought it was Bogum. But when his silhouette came nearer you understood it was not Bogum, since the guy had huge shoulders. Ignoring him you adjusted your headphone and concentrated on your bias' magical voice.

When you looked ahead, the guy was at a distance in front of your spot, walking away. You adjusted your spectacles and saw something fall off his pocket while he was walking. But the man simply walked away, not even noticing. You stood up dusting your grey track pants. You jogged to the spot, when he didn't even turn after a minute, and picked up the thing, his purse. 

But strangely the man wasn't even turning back.  

"Hey! Stop. You dropped your purse." When you saw that he was still not responding you started shouting louder and started jogging to him. "You! Dude in pink! You dropped your purse!"

Reaching him you touched his shoulder. "Bro, I'm talking to y..."

 When you touched his shoulder, he seemed to stop, and then he turned around. But when he did so, everything stopped around you. Your eyes widened and you dropped your phone. And all you could say at that time was...

"Fuck. You're..."

"KIM SEOKJIN!!!"
