Down The Block (EddMatt)

Getting better.

              It was the day before Halloween and everybody was exited. There was going to be a dance that night at the group of now, six friends were planning to all go together. Edd has been waiting for the next night for weeks now, he was going to ask Matt to dance and Edd just knew that it was going to go perfectly. Edd ran into Tord in the hallway after the beginning of lunch bell rang, when they were both headed to their lockers. 

             "Oh, hey Tord! We hanging out in the library again today?" Edd chirped.

            "Yeah... I'll see you there!" Tord smiled slightly.  The two went there separate ways and met again in the library with everybody else. Edd saw a chair next to Matt empty, once Edd made eye contact with Matt, the ginger signaled Edd to sit next to him. Edd sat down and gave Matt a tiny smile.

           "Soooo regular routine. Any interesting things going on with you guys?" Tom smiled slightly, looking up from his phone.

           "O-oh! Um... The list of actors who got into the play this year are up!" Jon squeaked.

           "Did you make it in?" Mark gave Jon a hopeful glance.

           "I got Evan!" He giggled looking very happy. "There's gonna be a practice after school next week, we'll be getting our scripts! Things are getting much better.. Thank you again Edd for getting my sign up sheet back."

           "Jon that's awesome! He's the role you wanted right?" Tom tilted his head, and Jon nodded quickly.

          "Nothing super crazy is going on with me but I am exited for tonight!!" Matt beamed.

          "I'm exited too but a dance is just asking for some unwanted drama.." Tord verified.

          "True, but we'll be able to avoid it as long as we stick together and stay away from assholes.." Mark advised.

          "Speaking of assholes.." Tom scoffed under his breath as Eduardo walked into the library. Eduardo didn't walk over to them but he gave Mark and Jon a menacing glare, Jon broke eye contact and hid his face while Mark rolled his eyes giving him the middle finger. They could tell that Eduardo bellowed something under his breath but he just got back to what he was doing afterwards. 

          "He's been looking at me like that a lot lately.." Jon shuddered. "But he hasn't talked to me."

          "Same here, just ignore him, he's an idiot.." Mark taunted. 

          Whenever Edd saw Eduardo it was like a reminder. A reminder why everybody was friends, a reminder why him and Matt are dating, the reason for all of this is because Edd was supposed to ruin Matt's life. Or at least his year. But Edd didn't want to break Matt's heart, he wanted to hug him, kiss him, and do everything he could to make him smile. Edd didn't know what to do.

(Sorry if this part is short not much was planned for this part anyway... The next chapter will be much longer though UwU)
