*Scott’s POV*
I was awaken by the turbulence as we landed at LAX at midnight. Groaning, I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes.
“It’s about time you woke up.” Kevin chuckled next to me. The plane was coming to a stop and I was beginning to feel the heavy effects of jetlag.
“Jetlag now hitting you too?” Kirstie asked. I nodded in return. Everyone in the group except Kevin got jetlag from a short trip which was so not fair. Besides the horrible nauseous feeling I was experiencing, I remembered that today was Alex’s birthday. Instantly, I grinned to myself. Today was the day I would release a new music video too and since it was ‘All of Me’ by John Legend… I wonder if he would like that.
“Hey KK?” I whispered. She looked over at me, concerned immediately.
“What’s wrong Scott?” I shook my head.
“Nothing, nothing. I just had a question.” She looked at me, waiting for me to continue. “You know how I recorded the cover of ‘All of Me’? The John Legend cover?” subtly, she nodded. “Well today’s Alex’s birthday and I wanted to dedicate it to him. Do you think he would like that?” Kirstie smiled largely at me, her eyes becoming bright with happiness. She put her hands over her mouth, trying to hold in a squeal. When she got it together, she answered me.
“I think he would love it, Scott.” Even though I had her stamp of approval, I was still scared to dedicate it to him. “Like, why wouldn’t he like it? It’s something from you. I mean he does love you a lot, so why wouldn’t he?” She did have a point after all.
“I guess we’ll see.” I sighed. While I was talking with Kirstie, the flight attendant was talking over the intercom about instructions to leave the plane. Everyone in the first class was taking off the seatbelts including me as I waited for Kevin to get up so I could get out.

After the long journey to find luggage and sort things out, the group walked drearily out of the terminal, dragging their feet. My phone went off, signifying that I had a text message.
Alex: I see you:)
Looking up, about 40 to 50 feet away from me, was Alex. Immediately, he came walking towards me with the biggest smile on his face. Picking up the pace of my walking slightly and leaving my bag behind, I met him halfway.
“God I missed you.” He whispered as we hugged. Resting my head on his shoulder, I squeezed him a bit tighter, not wanting to let him go.
“I missed you too, Alex.” We released each other and I moved forward, kissing him for a short few seconds. “Happy birthday.” I smiled.
“Come on, love birds.” Mitch laughed. “Mommy wants to go home.” I looked to Mitch and noticed that he did bring my bags back. Turning to him, Alex looked at me as we joined in laughter. I took his hand in mine as we walked to our cars. Looking at Alex, I had a little moment. It was hard to believe how lucky I was that we were together. Even though it was weird that we looked similar, he was still the sweetest thing to walk into my life.
My moment was short lived when he caught me staring at him. “I know I’m good looking but I didn’t think I was that good looking.”
