"Alright, everyone, I need your attention!" Tifa called from the head of the table as everyone ate breakfast.

"Here we go," Leon teased as he crossed his arms and faced her.

"Hush," she quieted him and then returned to her excited smile. "We haven't had any urgent calls from King Mickey in a few days, and there isn't anything on the to-do list, soooo..." Tifa trailed off with a smirk. "We're taking a holiday break!"

"Yes!" Yuffie shot up and ran out of the room. You watched her hurtle down into the engine rooms.

"Hey, don't mess with anythin'!" Cid shouted after her but you were afraid it was too late.

"You know exactly what she went down there for," Cloud told him with a sigh.

"What's going on?" you turned and asked Leon next to you with a smile and a short laugh.

"Don't worry," Leon answered. "You'll see."

In a flash, Yuffie was back up the stairs hauling a box half her size. "Okay," she started to say, slightly out of breath. "We only have um- how long is our break, Tifa?"

"We'll have a week," Tifa turned and told Yuffie before turning back to the table and nodding decisively.

"Right, we only have a week to celebrate so we have to get these lights up ASAP!" Yuffie glanced around the room, waiting for someone to get up. When nobody did she shouted, "SOMEONE HELP ME PUT THESE UP! Preferably someone taller than me!"

Your eyes widened at her intensity, but you stood anyway. "I'm a little taller," you offered.

Yuffie smiled at you then stared at the guys for a moment before shrugging when none of them budged. "You'll do," she told you.

"Thanks, Yuff," you rolled your eyes and held your arms out as she handed you bundles of string lights.

For the rest of the day you covered the interior of the ship with lights. The main area had lights dripping from the ceiling, glittering and glowing and colorful. The gun room was covered in multi-colored bulbs that were hung around the wall of windows and draped across the back of the chair in front of the controls. Last was the little hallway that led to the bedrooms. Yuffie had saved the star-shaped lights for this room.

"Last year we put these in the gun room," she told you, "but I think that's a little redundant."

"Yeah," you laughed. "Would probably seem a little repetitive."

"How did you celebrate the holiday season on Destiny Islands?" Yuffie asked you.

"Well," you thought for a moment. "We hung lights all over the palm trees in our yards- especially the paopu trees- and we made wreaths out of the flowers that grow by the water. Oh, and everyone gives each other a gift. It's like a celebration of the island we get to share- community and gratitude toward each other."

Yuffie was smiling at you with wide eyes. "That sounds... beautiful."

"What about you, Yuffie? What about Radiant Garden?"

"Lots of lights," she nodded as she handed you another strand to hang. "We hang ours all over the city and on our houses, though. And we put up Christmas trees inside. We celebrate the light and its defeat of the darkness. Everything is usually covered in snow, and it's all sparkly..." Yuffie trailed off and stared at the lights you had already hung, probably picturing her home covered with lights and snow.

"I've never seen snow," you sighed.

"What!?" Yuffie's brows knitted together like you were a kitten that had just been kicked.
