The Day Life Changed Forever

The New Boy Cont.

The only good part about coming back to school was seeing my only friend London.

"Hey! How were your holidays?" She asked.

"Well, if you enjoy waking up to loud, off-pitch rock and roll every morning, it was great, if not, then it was terrible." I replied.

"Oh ok..." London looked off into the distance. Usually I can tell who it is from a distance, but this one was hard. The scruffy hair and muscly arms were unfamiliar.

"Is that the new boy?" London asked.

"What new boy?" I asked confused.

"Everyone has been talking about a new boy, apparently he is really cute. Now I can see that the rumors are true. Hey! You have a thing for him!" London yelled. I quickly pulled her away.

"You seriously don't know how loud your voice gets!" I whispered loudly to London, "What do you mean I have a thing for him?"

"You had that look in your eye, I know that look!" The bell for first class went.

"Shut up, I gotta go. See ya at recess."

I walked off to science, my first class of the week. Usually i hate this class, there are so many roudy people that get on my nerves so easily. Today was different though. I went to my desk and turned on my laptop. Five minutes after class started, someone knocked on the door. 

"Um, Hi sorry, I got lost, I'm new." The muscles from earlier was standing in our doorway. 

"That's fine, um, the only seat left is next to Megan, get out your laptop please." Muscles started walking over, "Oh sorry, I don't have a laptop yet." Miss Smith sighed, "OK, just look onto Megan's for now then." 

I quietly moved my stuff over so he had room on his desk. It was an awkward silence as he looked onto my laptop. "I'm Nero" He said suddenly. "Uhh, I'm Megan." I replied, trying to awkwardly smile. "That's a nice name" He smiled, "Thankyou", I said. I was starting to warm up around Nero. "Nero", I said, "Does that have a meaning or something?" Facepalm, good way to make chat. "Actually, it means powerful." Nero laughed. Hmm, I can definately see that.
