Pinkie Pie had just finished entertaining Ponyville's residents. Mr and Mrs Cake smiled down at her. The filly beamed back at them. She enjoyed her life at Sugarcube corner with her adopted parents. Her work at the rock farm seemed like it was years ago, although it had only been a month since she'd left. How she missed her sisters, especially Maud, whom she had loved to make rock candy necklaces with. Pinkie Pie kept her eyes open so as not to show Mrs Cake her tears.
"Pinkie, are you okay?" Mrs Cake asked, frowning at her adopted daughter.
Pinkie Pie laughed then replied "Of course I'm okay!"
Mrs Cake hesitated because Pinkie's laugh sounded insecure and fake. "Okay, but if you ever feel down-"
"Okey - dokey - lokey!" Pinkie pie cut off Mrs Cake, who walked into Sugarcube Corner unsure of Pinkie's happiness.
Pinkie Pie frowned in dismay. She was an insecure child, who often had suicidal thoughts and did not feel safe in any of her surroundings unless she was either with a crowd of people whom she knew well, or not so well, or if she was alone. When Mrs Cake had gone, Pinkie's hair deflated and she walked into the Everfree forest, her face depressed and her eyes fighting tears. Face down, she absent-mindedly trudged through the forest, not once did it occur to her that she was very much lost. It had reached twilight; the air around Pinkie Pie grew cold and the wind blew harder and harder. Pinkie had never thought of Mr and Mrs Cake thinking much of her, but the idea had popped into her head and she frowned a miserable frown. However, the Everfree Forest had brought a certain lonely happiness. Although parties were very much enjoyed, Pinkie Pie often liked to wander about alone. The frosty air bit at her fur, a shiver ran down her spine, yet she was not afraid.
Never would Pinkie have thought that another pony-like creature would be in near the woods, let alone live in it. She knew all the tales of ghosts and beasts of which supposedly lived in the forest, but she had enough sense not to listen to them. The Everfree Forest was full of dangerous animals, kind and caring to downright evil, but never, never, would Pinkie have thought someone would live in the woods. That is, until she bumped into a hut. Pinkie Pie jumped backwards and looked up at the hut, her straight mane blowing in the wind.
"Little filly if you care, I do not mean to give you a scare. I beg for you to come in and if you will, please fetch me another pill." A female African accent said loudly from inside the hut, before letting out a shrill scream. "Ignore the screams though I'm not fine, a little help would be-" Another scream filled the air "DIVINE!"
Pinkie Pie dashed into the hut, the frown on her face wider than ever. A zebra stood inside the hut screaming. At first glance she was not hurt, but huge masses of long fur were growing on her, evil looking swirls of magic escaped out of her chest, black as the midnight sky outside as she tossed and turned. The zebra's eyes repeatedly flashed yellow, and she started to grow taller. Pinkie Pie stood five metres back from her, the monster-type thing which could barely be called a zebra. Pinkie was gobsmacked, her mouth open in awe. The zebra pointed vaguely with her hoof, that of which was holding a knife made of the sharpest, shiniest metal. The yellow eyes of the zebra glared angrily at Pinkie Pie.
"YOU WILL FETCH ME THAT ONE PILL, OR PONYVILLE I WILL SOON KILL!" roared the monster, the now visible scars on her body dripping with oozing crimson liquid, blood. Pinkie Pie rushed to pick up the pill on the table and shoved it down the monster's throat. Immediately, it was a normal zebra once again. Pinkie's hair grew big and bouncy, for the previous happenings had left her in complete shock.
"Who...are you?" Pinkie Pie questioned, curiosity the only feeling she had.
"I'm an evil enchantress...who does evil dances." The zebra's eyes glowed bright yellow as she pulled the the hood of her cloak over her head.
