       3RD PERSONS VIEW

"what the hell were you thinking, jaemin?!" doyoung yells as soon as they got off the car and in the palace. "what do you think taeyong, taeil and the other hyung's would think when they hear about you sneaking out?" doyoung questions jaemin as jaemin could only sigh in return.

"look, hyung. i didn't even get hurt! she helped me. she was the nicest person i bumped in to once i stepped out of the palace." jaemin explained. "i can't believe you're going all mom on me. didn't you see the look she had when we left? you obviously shocked her." he crosses his arms. "if you want to know who's the rude one, it was you."

doyoung messed his hair in frustration, "you're not getting it, jaemin."

"no, you're the one not getting it, hyung. i get that you're doing all of this for our safety but that doesn't mean you could keep our freedom away." jaemin gritted his teeth.

"what's going on here?" the yelling came to an abrupt stop when mark, donghyuck, chenle and jaehyun came trudging down the stairs. jaemin gave doyoung a look before grabbing the basket that was on the table. "we brought home some baked goods from mrs kang's bakery." jaemin happily informed them.

jaehyun smiled, "i've been craving for mrs kang's food for days!"

"but we heard yelling awhile ago? you two weren't fighting right?" mark suspiciously eyed doyoung and jaemin. jaemin shrugged and turned to look at doyoung, "i don't know, were we?" he raised a brow at the older.

doyoung scoffed, "you're lucky i'm not telling them."

"telling us what, jaemin?" jaehyun looks at the boy. jaemin shook his head, "it's nothing."

"nothing?" donghyuck squints his eyes at his fellow brother, "i could already tell it's not just a simple nothing."

jaemin chuckled, "i told you! it's really nothing."

doyoung rolled his eyes at his brother's lame excuse, "our mentor told him we wouldn't have practice for the rest of the month and the following month since he'll be busy doing other things."

the boys nodded, understanding, "you could've just said so, hyung!" chenle told jaemin. jaemin gave him a faint smile in return.

"we'll bring this to the hangout room! the rest are there, you two should join us. we actually went here to grab some snacks and luckily you guys already did that for us." donghyuck said before pulling mark and chenle with him.

jaehyun stayed by for a bit, "i know you two were fighting, i'm not that naive as the young ones are." he said as the two sighed in defeat.

"okay, hyung. you got us. we were fighting." jaemin spilled.

"what's wrong? you two rarely fight." jaehyun placed his hands on his waist.

"it's nothing, jaehyun. us three will talk about it later, by the pavilion alright?" doyoung stated before the three headed up to the hangout room.

. . .

"so you're telling me that you went all out rebel and escaped just to get lost and while you were, you happened to meet a pretty girl that actually helped you to get back in the palace?" jaehyun summarized while looking at jaemin in confusion before his expression turned sour, "you do know once taeyong and the other hyung's know about this, they'll be really mad at you."

jaemin sighed and nodded, "i know my consequences, but! i met a pretty and nice girl, and her smile was the best thing i saw that whole day. probably my whole life." jaemin said with a lot of enthusiasm.

doyoung glared at the younger and shook his head, "we have to tell taeyong this."

jaemin looked at him in fright, "no! don't! look, hyung, i know this whole girl situation is making you crazy especially since it reminds you of mina but that doesn't make you an excuse to be rude to every girl that interacts with us! not every girl is the same. like us, we aren't the same."

doyoung curled his hands into a fist as he tried to contain his anger, "don't even remind me her name, jaemin." he hissed.

jaehyun stood there quite irritated at the fact he couldn't push himself to speak up for either of his brothers. jaemin's words didn't only hit doyoung but it hit jaehyun as well.

"hyung, we can't just keep living like being imprisoned. we're humans, we need freedom once in a while too." jaemin told his older brother as he was on the verge of crying. he was sick of everything. he was sick of getting locked up in his room, in the palace. he wanted to be free again, but because of some stupid accident that happened a few years ago, their freedom came to an end.

jaemin stood there, waiting for his hyung to reply. "you're unbelievable! you taught me to be free and to live my life to the fullest while i'm young, and you're here, scolding me just because a girl interacted with me?"

doyoung scoffed, "i'm unbelievable? you went behind our backs! you went out without even permission from mother! you just disobeyed the rules that were made in order to protect us."

"what if you got hurt? what if that girl tried to kill you?" doyoung bombarded the younger with questions which jaemin ignored. "i know you know what is right from wrong, jaemin. i'm just protecting you."

jaehyun let out a sigh and decided to finally talk, "stop it you two. both of you are right and wrong. jaemin, doyoung is right, you disobeyed us and went against the rules. it's was uncalled for. and doyoung, you should be open minded and listen to jaemin. he's trying to tell you that all he wanted was freedom, yelling at him won't be a solution to the problem here."

"we won't be telling any of this to any of our brothers, got that?" jaehyun eyed the two. doyoung and jaemin nodded while silently looking down.

jaemin fiddled with his fingers and looked up to face jaehyun, "hyung, don't you want to meet this girl i'm talking about?" he suddenly changed the subject.

doyoung shot his head up and glared at jaemin, "oh please, don't give any ideas."

jaemin shrugged, a smirk creeping up his face, "oh come on! i saw how you stared at jaeyoung, it's been a while since you've met a girl! and jaehyun hyung! she's really nice, you definitely have to meet her."

doyoung face palmed as jaehyun of course agreed to meeting jaeyoung. "i could bring you two with me on friday! i'll be going out to the town because it's my turn to receive baked goods from the kang's bakery shop." jaehyun smiled.

"great! we'll definitely meet her there." jaemin grinned at his brother while doyoung shook his head vigorously.

"no no no! definitely a no! i wouldn't want to get trouble for going out the palace just to meet this jaeyoung girl." doyoung crossed his arms, disagreeing with his brothers.

"but we aren't just going to meet her, we're also going to get the baked goods from mrs kang's shop! it would be the perfect excuse to get out and meet her." jaemin wriggled his eyebrows, looking at doyoung with a cheeky girn.

doyoung rolled his eyes, "i'll think about it."
