I jumped from her window, seeing her bedroom getting dark. Now that I know she's safe sleeping in her house, I need to tell the others about Cody, Will and Evan.
I walk down the dark street, thinking about all of this shit. Why they're after Ravenna? The fact of Colin wanting to talk to her is what most makes me tense.
Colin is Will's father. He's the leader of their vampire's group that is our "rival" I think you can say it. One hundred years ago all the vampires were part of an only one group, everyone lived together serving only one leader, James. He was a good leader, always helped everyone and each new vampire who were "new vampires". Colin did not agree with James's rules, we just fed and hypnotized them to remember anything of that. But Colin was always more violent and always killed everyone he fed of. He always said that we were superior and we could take over the world, but James didn't agree with him and most of the vampires always were by James's side. But of course, Colin got some on his side and he killed James.
Before it, James left all the vampires in Chris hands and with this, he was the new leader. Colin and his followers killed many of us and they're still trying to find someway to get stronger and end with us. And I'm afraid he knows something about Ravenna that can help them.
Getting back in the park, I see them waiting for me. Mia with her back against the tree, Noah and Cole with their phone in hands and Gavin sitting on the floor.
"Alright, what's wrong?" Gavin asks me getting on his feets and making the others look at me.
"Cody, Will and Evan was after Ravenna." My voice low and strong.
"What? Why they would want with her?" Mia asks with confusion in her face.
"That is what we need to find out." I furrow my brows.
"Of course it is about us not being able to hypnotize her." Cole finally says, putting his phone in his pocket. "Do you have any idea why this happens and if she can be one of us?"
"One of us? Cole she's not a vampire, I smelled, she smells like a human." Mia says rolling her eyes.
"But-"
"No, Cole. Mia's right, Ravenna couldn't be a vampire, is impossible." Gavin says and Noah agrees with him.
"Indeed." I say.
She couldn't be a vampire, as Mia said, she smells like human and she was shocked about seeing Mia drinking that guy's blood and about knowing all of us were a vampire. It is impossible.
"The more I think about it, the more I can't find the answer." I say quietly, running my hand through my hair.
"Do you know about some other creature that can't be hypnotized by us?" Noah asks calmly and the others looking at me waiting for an answer.
"Just vampire, witches and werewolves." I look back at them. "We need to tell all of this to Chris and ask him if he knows about other creature..." They nodded to me.
"Well, let's go then." Cole started to walk, me and the others following.
We came to this city to find why I couldn't be able to hypnotize Ravenna, but of our group just came me, Mia, Cole, Gavin, Noah and Chris. We couldn't draw much attention to ourselves so the rest of our group stayed in Romania.
Soon we were on our street, the house we took to stay for a while is quite big, actually, is like a mansion. Chris wanted a big house in case we need the others to come here too.
We entered the mansion, seeing Chris sitting on the couch watching tv with his glass of blood in hands.
"I can feel the tension between you all, what happened?" He asked with his attention on the tv yet.
"They found Ravenna, Chris. Cody, Will and Evan, they stopped her on her way home to ask if she was my friend." I sigh, crossing my arms. The others approaching him and sitting on the big couch as well.
"That's not good." He spoke up, straightened on the couch, his voice sounded worried. "One of them must have seen you two in Romania, I mean, everyone of you near her." He looked over each one of us.
"They're really following us." Noah whispered.
"Yes.. and if Colin wants to talk to her, it means he knows about her not being.. a normal human." Chris adds, looking worried.
"About it... in our history, there's some other creature that can't be hypnotized by us?" I ask.
"Well.." Chris begins. "Just what you already know, witches, werewolves and other vampires." He says, which makes me furrow, I was waiting for him to say some other we didn't know.
"But she's none of those." Cole says with his attention in his phone.
"Exactly, which makes it even more stranger" Chris says quietly, darting his eyes to me and then to everyone. "We need to know if she's really human, I need all of you to try to discover it and to protect her. I'm sure Colin knows more than us and this is not good. Now that they found her, they're going to try to talk to her again or even to take her to Colin, so keep an eye on her." He says more seriously.
Everyone nodded.
"And if we see them we can confront them and make them talk what they know" Noah says.
"Those fuckers will not get what they want." I say, making all of them smirk.
