The Cub's Nightmares pt2

Yugi's POV

[3 days later]

I struggled to get up as the lack of sleep was taking its toll on me. I groaned as my alarm went off *aibou?* I reluctantly got up and got dressed before heading to school. <your now doing so well little prince, maybe you should stay home> 《no, I'll be fine》 I walked over to my friends "oh dear Yugi, you look like you haven't slept" Anzu said concerned. I stumbled before leaning my head on Jonouchi's belly "I haven't slept in 3 days, I've been having nightmares more frequently" I mumbled exhausted. /little prince, your falling over/ I corrected myself before I felt Jonouchi pick me up "you can hardly stand Yug, I wish I could help you but I can't make your nightmares go away" he said sadly. I purred as he pet my head, sleep soon claimed me. I walked beside my friends, Jonouchi, Honda, Anzu, Bakura and Marik. I was startled as five dragons swooped down and snatched my friends. "Hello little prince, so we meet again at last. I growled "who are you and what do you want?!" I shouted angrily. He stayed hidden in the shadows "to duel you, here's how this works. For every one thousand life points we lose, we lose something precious to us. For me it's my dragons and for you it's your friends" he hissed. "You're going to regret threatening my friends! Let's duel!" I growled. I gasped as he summoned a monster that could attack immediately, it took 1000 life points. I watched in horror as Marik was swallowed by the shadows. "Marik!" I screamed. I was blindsided by another attack, taking another 1000 life points, Bakura was taken by the shadows. As the duel continued I lost Honda and Jonouchi. I fell to my knees as the rest of my life points were taken, I had only managed to destroy two of the dragons but lost all five of my friends. To add insult to injury, the four spirits were consumed by the shadows as well. I jolted awake breathing heavily. "Yug?" Jonouchi questioned concerned. I whimpered "another nightmare, I can't escape this torture!" I cried desperately. I purred as Jonouchi began to pet my head again, "I want to test something, Jonouchi continue to pet Yugi's head and little prince try going to sleep. It's only a theory but if I'm right then we can solve this problem" Priest Seto said. I curled up as Jonouchi continued to pet my head. I walked beside my friends as we headed to the arcade. "I hope it's not too crowded today" Jonouchi said. I giggled "ya, you don't do well with crowds. More like crowds don't do well with you. You're aggressive at times" I replied snickering. Jonouchi playfully ruffled my hair "shut up Yug" he laughed, I purred happily. We walked into the arcade and it was surprisingly empty. "It's just us, yeah!" Jonouchi and Honda yelled excited as they had first pick on every game. I smiled up at Anzu as we chose the dancing game, she was amazing. I was ok, not good but not bad either. I smiled as I watched my friends having so much fun. We all grabbed some lunch before heading home. I stretched out having actually slept well. "Well little prince?" Priest Seto questioned. I smiled "no nightmares" I replied purring happily. "Please explain what happened Priest Seto" Jonouchi demanded. "Yugi isn't getting enough affection, the little prince needs that. His light has become dim, he doesn't feel very loved anymore. In other words, he's becoming depressed" Seto explained. "Physical I feel happy but mentally I feel sad, I didn't think the lack of attention would cause me harm. I can't help it though, I can't force myself to feel a certain emotion, it just happens. I didn't say anything because I felt like I would just be a burden" I replied sadly. I jumped as someone coughed to get our attention, I was now stuck up on one of the lights hanging from the ceiling "stop focusing your attention on Mr. Motou and focus on the lesson!" Ms. Juuka growled. I looked down and immediately regretted it "get down from the Mr. Motou!" She commanded before whacking me with a broom. I fell off the light, crashed onto a desk and slammed into the ground. She whacked me in the head with the broom before chasing me out of the room. I poked my head back "you will pay for the suffering you cause the students, mark my words bitch!" Fukushū said after taking control over my body. "FUKUSHŪ!" I growled angrily. 《《Shit, she looks pissed. Maybe you should run》》 I gasped as the handle of the broom slammed into my ribcage before she slammed it into my neck. I scrambled across the floor as she continued to swing the broom at me before I bumped into someone. "Little prince?" Shadi asked confused until he saw the teacher swing the broom at my head. I crashed into the lockers as the momentum threw me across the hall. I lay on the ground too stunned and injured to comprehend what was going on around me. <little prince?> I whimpered as my body refused to move before I felt myself being picked up. "Little prince? Can you hear me, please say something" Shadi pleaded desperately.
