Kiritos P.O.VSitting in the fields, I looked over at the cute little blonde boy tiredly seated next to me. I smiled, "we should head back soon, training starts soon," I stated simply. Eugeo looked back to me in defeat. "Awww, do we have to? It's so pretty," he complained.
"Plus, I have to stay behind longer today to train my trainee," he added oh, her, I thought with a sigh. It was pretty obvious she liked him. I didn't hate her, but I couldn't help but envy her.
If you couldn't tell already, I liked Eugeo ever since he found me and we had figured out we knew each other ever since we were kids. Apparently, we also had another friend named Alice and we started looking for her.
All of a sudden, I felt something lean towards my shoulder. "Eug-," I started to say, but I was interrupted by the quiet thud as his head landed on my shoulder.
"You..." I my moved my head to look at him, and I noticed his eyes silently start to close. "H-hey!" I yelled, in an attempt to get him up. I felt my cheeks start to heat up as I looked away in a rush.
He's so silly, I got lost in my thoughts for a moment.
I couldn't help but admire his goods looks, his eyes, and his motivation to become a swordsman. The passion in his jade eyes assured me he would be an incredible swordsman someday.
"Hey, Eugeo," I said in a calm expression and tone. "Hey, silly. Get up, that little red head of yours is waiting you know,"I forced, trying not to think about her and Eugeo together.
I nudged him, but the only response I got back was a soft groan. "Gah, your so cute," I mumbled out load without meaning to.
I looked up again, and noticed two flowers near a tree, one back and another blue.
Those weren't there before, I thought in suspicion. Weird. I called out to anyone in the area, but got no response back. Out of fear someone was there, I tried once again to wake him up.
"Eugeo," I whispered, "we're late, we gatta go," slowly opening his eyes, he signed and obeyed me, lazily walking behind me with one last shrug.
Time skip
I sat down, watching as Eugeo and Tiese, with her rare red hair, brawled. Determined to hide my jealousy, I crossed my arms and legs as I tried to look natural.
"Ah, wait watch your ba-" my eyes widened as I saw Tiese loosing her balance and watched as she had started to fall. I started to get up to help her, but before I could do anything Eugeo rushed forward caught her. Instantly, I felt my heart sink as I saw how much she was enjoying being in Eugeos arms.
Did she.. do that on purpose? The thought crossing my mind with a another huge wave of jealousy. That can't... "Be more careful next time, Tiese!" Eugeo breathed out with a sigh of relief as he let her go. "I-I'm so sorry, Eugeo-senpai!" She blushed with embarrassment.
"It's ok, just relax your arms and legs next time, here like this," he said calmly as he performed is position with a strong stance. "Ah, I see," she said as she nodded, copying his position to the exact.
I started to blank out of the rest of her lesson, mostly because I didn't care to see them basically flirting with each other.
The only reason I woke up is when I heard a call.
"Kirito-kun!" I heard a male voice call to me. "Wa- huh?" I shot up from my chair in surprise.
"Ah, sorry for disturbing you. My teachings with Tiese have finished for the day. I was wondering if you wanted to go back to fields with me?" He asked nervously, twirling his fingers.
"Right-yeah, that's sounds fun," I agreed hastily. Instantly, his eyes lit up as he followed me back to our little spot without bothering to change.
This time, it was darker and no sounds could be heard as we sat down peacefully. This seems kinda familiar, but not just because we were here earlier. This is deja vu or something? I questioned myself.
For some reason, I expected to see Eugeo asleep next to me, but that obviously wasn't the case. "Hm? Why are you looking at me like that?" He questioned, I couldn't help but flinch back, "oh- it's uh- it's nothing," I said as I started looking into some other random direction.
He chuckled, and looked away shyly. "Kirito-kun..." he muttered. "Hm?" I made a sound, waiting anxiously for his reply.
"I always thought... you had stunning eyes, your face too," he mumbled under his breath.
It made a little happy hearing that, maybe a little too happy if you get what I'm saying. "I'm glad you think so, I was always a little insecure about that, I guess," I said softly.
"Wow really? So many girls like you here, you wouldn't have much trouble finding a girlfriend here with your looks," he chuckled.
"I guess your right, but I'm not really looking for one at the moment," I said simply.
He looked to me in a surprise, sounding a little hopeful. "Why's that?" He asked without hesitation. "I already interested in someone else is an easy way to say it," I said a smile.
"Oh.." he whispered with a sad smile on his face.
"What about you? Your good looking too, why haven't you found anyone?" I asked without thinking twice.
"Well, I'm already interested in someone else too. I've known them for a while and have gotten comfortable with them. I don't think they like me back though," he said sadly.
I signed to that, instantly thinking of Tiese.
"Well, whoever it is, I'm sure they love you back," I said with a joyful tone, even thought I was full spite.
"Thanks, I guess," he laughed.
We sat there for a while, admiring everything.
"Hey, see that star separated from the other ones?" He said as he pointed to it. "What about it?" I asked. "It reminds me of you because you haven't got any friends," he joked with laughter.
"You-!" I cursed. He just laughed at me more, so I jumped on him as we rolled around for a few seconds, bursting with laughter. This reminds me of when we were kids, I thought.
