Chapter Twenty part two

Chapter 20 part two

After getting off the phone with Miriam, Luca rung the bell. I jumped up and answered it and he soon greeted me with a bear hug. After a brief greeting I heard Pilar call for me to bring her a bottle of water. Luca and I quickly hustled one up to her. She smiled at us both and put the sleeping baby down for his before addressing us.

“Hello Luca, Isa I know you wanted to go out but I need some sleep so can you watch SJ for me?”

She said with a hoarse voice.

            “Of course P, go sleep Luca and I can just stay here.”

I said confirming with Pilar and asking Luca at the same time. Not that I thought he would say no but you never know.

            “Si, Pilar go rest we’ve got this.”

Luca said with a toothy smile. She said thank you and went downstairs to her room. To be honest, this will be fun to see how Luca and I can handle SJ. Not that we’re planning on having kids (anytime soon that it) but it says a lot about a person, a true test of character some say. Or so I’ve read in one of Pilar’s parenting magazines.  We took a seat in the rocking chairs on the opposite sides of the room. For a few moments we sat like that in awkward style just looking at each other, that was until SJ with timing as good as his father’s began to cry.  Luca rose to his feet and picked SJ up and started to whisper soft things to him to try to calm him. After 5 minutes of that SJ was sound asleep again. I sat back down in a amazement.

            “That usually takes me an hour… how?”

I gasped out,

            “I have two younger brothers and my mom taught Enzo and I how to do that.”

He said quietly but still matter of factly. He laid SJ back in his crib, I turned his baby monitor on so we could go talk in my room.  I took the other monitor with me and Luca and I silently left the room.

            “You’re great with kids.”

I said as we walked into my room and sat down on the couch.

“Hey, I’ve had practice. Elyaz was the loudest baby, he would just cry for the sake of crying. When my mom got tired Enzo and I would take care of him. “

He said,

            “I wish I was good with kids, sometimes I think I’d be an awful mother.”

I said looking down. This week has been hard between football and SJ, not to mention the hate from my old friends.

“You would be a great mother are you crazy? Most girls cant stand to be with a baby for more than ten minutes. Plus you have a lot going on. Not to mention it would be different when it’s your child.”

He said, leaving me to wonder if he could get any better.

            “Isa where’s Sergio today?”

Luca said,

            “He’s in Lisbon he left last night for the Champion’s League Final.”

I said,

“Wait… ohhhhh ok I knew that my dad is there too sorry that was stupid of me to ask.”

I just laughed and laid me head on his shoulder.

            “It’s ok, at least you know it was a silly question.”

I laughed out. I looked at my phone and saw that it was 16:15 which meant Enzo was going to get here any moment.

            “We should go down stairs Enzo should be here soon.”

I said, we left my room and to go check on SJ one last time before we went down stairs. SJ was still sleeping, I took a quick photo of him and sent it to Sergio, because he really feels bad that he isn’t around. I heard a soft knock on the door  then we saw Enzo getting back in the to leave. Luca gave me a sweet kiss on lips and we said our goodbyes.  Pilar came out of Sergio and her room yawning and said,

            “Thank you so much Isa I need that nap, how is my baby?”

“He’s sound asleep, Luca was great with him and got him to stop crying instently”

I said, showing her that picture of SJ sleeping.

“Do you want an early dinner? You have to wake up early to leave for Lisbon tomorrow.”

She asked me, I nodded and we went into the kitchen and made pasta.

**Time Skip**

After dinner Pilar, SJ, and I were all laying on her bed watching movies, when Pilar spoke up.

“Isa were you ok the other night I noticed you were up pretty late, is everything alright?”

I knew she would notice. Nothing gets past her.

“My old friends from America have just been being really rude to me that’s all…”

I said coming clean. It wasn’t worth candy coating it for Pilar. She look more concerned then she did a few seconds ago.

“By rude what do you mean? Do they just not talk to you or are they saying mean things? Could you show me what they say?”

She said softly.

            “No they say rude things, like call my a wh0re or a gold digger stuff like that.”

I said looking down, I didn’t want to see that look on Pilar’s face, her piercing blue eyes searched again making eye contact before she said anything else.

“Well then they are certainly not your friend nor were they your friends, because friends don’t say those thing about each other, they support each in hard times or let them take a nap in our case.”

She said, she couldn’t have been more right but at a small school you don’t have many genuine people to choose from.

            “But Pilar you’re so much more than a friend you’re like my other sister.”

I said looking at her before she opened her arms up and hugged me. We ended falling asleep with the TV and SJ sleeping a full night right in between us.

Ok I’m BACK, I don’t really have a great excuse for not updating expect that I have been super busy with my life. But now I’m on vacation so I’m going to try to update everyday. Then by then I’ll hopefully be more inspired to write more. Thank you for all the reads and sweet comments. I still find it crazy that people even want to read my stupid story none the less enjoy it. So thank you guys again and stay tuned for more to come! I love you guys!
