Hearts beating fast,
Palms sweaty,
Throat clogged and choked.
Knee shakes and my hand trembles.
If only I could breathe.
I'm running home now,
My mind is not at ease,
Running faster than my mind racing.
Feeling like my legs are filled with lead.
Each step heavier,
And I'm pacing back and forth.
My mind is racing.
Each step and I can feign.
Feigning for an escape,
I wake,
It was all just a dream.
Sheets soaked in sweat,
Like I was running in my sleep.
Breath still hitches.
Palms sweaty,I wish that I could breathe.
