Last Memories

I pulled up into the parking lot of the restaurant and parked my car. I am ready to eat but of course Sabrina isn't here yet. So I decided to go inside and get a table. Apparently a lot of people like to go to buffets on Thursday. So even if I got here early it wouldn't make much of a difference. I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. BUZZ! BUZZ! Oh miss hungry is contacting me now. Whatever let me just answer her.

"I'm almost here. Why do people like eating here on Thursday?" I mean she was the one who wanted to eat here. It's like she's going to pay for the food anyways. Why is she complaining? " I'm just waiting for a table i got here like 10 minutes ago." I replied. I'm actually glad she called me because it made the time go real quick. Why did I feel I lot of wind from behind me. "Hey Jade!", the person shouted. "Oh god! Hey fatty." "What took you so long?" "I just took a little detour to the ATM to get some cash... and don't call me that chicken legs." I would have a comeback for that one but I can't think of a comeback with an empty stomach. Anyways it's time to eat!

The lady who was by the entrance of the buffet took us to the table where we would stay so we suggested a table that was the closest to the food which was what we got. I really am a sucker for buffets. I remember those times when I came here for my birthdays, mothers day, fathers day and even recently my high school graduation. I also remember when I tried that chocolate wonderfall and dipped it in strawberries and marshmallows and rice krispie treats those good times.

We sat at the table and the lady that served us said "Hi I'm Jamie and I will be your waitress for today. What can I get you lovely ladies today?" "I'll have a coca cola with no ice please.", I responded. "And what about you mam?" "I'll have a pink lemonade with no ice please.", Sabrina replied. "Ok I'll be back with your drinks shortly." While we wait on our drinks let's go get some food.

I grabbed 2 plates just in case I go a bit crazy with the food. I'm going to stuff my face here, go shopping after this, see a good movie and then say goodbye to my family as well as pack of course. I'll probably visit my family tomorrow morning since my flight is at 9:35 in the night. I can see the steam all the way from here. I took some pot roast, ribs, fried rice, popcorn shrimp, corn, carrots, and sesame chicken. If  I was with my parents they would probably shame my for eating too much food and still getting dessert. But since I'm with Sabrina if I'm fat she will be fat with me.

I ended up filling up my two plates and headed towards our table. This girl got pizza, chicken wings, prime rib, fried rice, baked fish, corn, and mashed potatoes. See we can both be fat together. Since we took some time to get food our drinks and straws were staring right back at us waiting for us to come and take a sip. We said a short prayer before we ate like we would if we were here with our families and started to devour this deliciousness because it will probably be some time before we eat at one of these places again.

It's about 1:30 we spent almost an hour here and just came back from my second round of dessert:vanilla ice cream with caramel, vanilla cream cakes, and of course strawberries, marshmallows and rice krispie treats drenched in chocolate. Yummy! Once Jamie cleared up our plates we got the bill which was was around 36.50. So we decided to split the bill, off course get fortune cookies and go shopping so this fullness can wear off.

"So where are we going to shop Jade? Burlington? Ross? K and G? Macy's?" "Yes let's go to Macy's so we can get some nice clothes for New York and the good thing is the Macy's has a movie theater right by it." "Alright I'll meet you there." I typed the address of Macy's into my phone and it was about a 30 minutes drive from here. I guess let's get to shopping. Wonder what's on the radio. I didn't know most of the songs that was playing so they most likely might be playing some early 90's music.

Isn't it nice to drive down the highway and hear the sounds of your car plus the sounds of your radio? That's perfection right there and before I knew it i was already near the store. It's I good thing I keep my allowance money and my past summer job money to a time where I'm really going to need it. So that means I'm going to travel with at least 1,300 in cash!

I don't want to spend more than 300 dollars because things are really expensive up north. You never know how many things that they'll charge you for. Dang it looks like Sabrina is already here i can see her car from here. She don't waste time when it comes to having fun and neither do i. It was 2:05 and we have plenty of time to shop and see that movie before the sun comes down because after it comes down i want to use that time to start packing.

Let's get some shopping on. Hopefully they still have some good summer  fashion. Stores tend to have good outfits when it's hot or cold so I might be in some luck. I started to walk closer to the entrance where this girl already was and I already have my wallet out to start shopping. Time to shop til I reach my budget.

"How much money do you have?",I asked. "Well because of my selling bracelets and snacks in school plus the money I have from working a semester at Quik Trip I have around 1,700. So I'm going to spend around 400 on the store, and 50 dollars for us to go to the movies." Oh wow she's going to pay. Good because I don't feel like spending more money today.

"Hello welcome to Macy's, we are having a 40% off sale on designer dresses, a 25% off Sale on jeans, 30% off our latest summer fashions, and 15% off our accessories and jewelry which includes socks too." Wow I came at the right time then. I rushed to the latest summer fashion while Sabrina went to the jeans and accessories.

I picked out a Yellow floral Calvin Klein dress for $49.99 but was $29.99  from the discount, a baby blue shirt and purple skirt for $12.59, a crop top, a tank top, a t-shirt dress, two pairs of jeans and one short. Then I headed over to the accessories and got a rose gold jewelry set for $19.99 and a watch for $9.99. Where is this girl I wondered. Eh I'll meet her in the fitting rooms.

I can't hold all of this stuff by myself. I need to get a buggy. Buggies were by the entrance so I walked back over there and grabbed a buggy to put my clothes and accessories in. Now it's time to see if these clothes fit me or not.

The fitting rooms were all the way in the back of the store so now my arms don't have to worry about getting tired so quick. While I'm heading there i should count my items so I have 8 total. "Hello mam which number do you need?",the lady by the fitting rooms responded. "8 please.",I replied. She handed me the number and I went to the ladies fitting room to try on my clothes.

I guess I'll try on the Calvin Klein dress since it's the priciest out of all of them, and it fits. How nice of the store to put a mirror in here.  Then I decided to try on the baby blue shirt and purple skirt. The skirt fit but the shirt was a bit short. After that I tried on the crop top and tank top. This crop top doesn't look as good as I thought but the tank top did. While I still had the tank top on I tried on my jeans and short. They all fit now lastly the t-shirt dress. Perfect! 6 out of 8 not bad.

BUZZ! BUZZ! She's probably texting me right now. I just left the fitting room and I'm by the socks. Ok then, I gave the lady back the number and the two things that didn't fit me. Now where is this girl.

The socks weren't too far from the cash register so I spotted her easily. "Hey did you go past your budget, I think I probably did." "No I don't think so because of the sale. Well let's see. "Wait this is the time where i can use that 100 dollar Macy's gift card you gave me for my birthday Jade." Oh wow I forgot about that. Once the cashier scanned my items my total was about 125 dollars while Sabrina's total was 286 dollars. Jeez this girl loves accessories, but thanks to the gift card it was 186 dollars.

The movie theater is right across from here so we don't have to drive far. We went to see How to train your Dragon: The hidden world. We spent $26 on movie tickets and $20 on popcorn, sodas, and candy. Movie selfie! Movies are a lot better when you eat while watching them.

Today was a good day now I have to go home and go pack. Tomorrow I'll visit my family and then get ready for the airport. I waved bye to her and now the sun is down and so is my energy. Time to go home.
