A new year (satoshi's story start)

During band camp while I was sitting outside, Al came running out of the band hall “um hey satoshi if you see Ethan coming out with Aiden and AJ could you um not tell him you saw me?” i raised an eyebrow in question but simply just shrugged and nodded  “sure” he thanked me and ran around the corner when i saw Ethan, Aiden, and AJ walk out. Once they passed me i sighed and right on que Al walk up next to me “thanks satoshi i probably would have died if Ethan saw me..” “how come?” i asked “uhh well um it's because of events from last year. He was pretty much my only friend and well you know how he went to another school right…?” i nodded “well because of that i have a hard time seeing him i either get too emotional or get a pain in my chest…” i nod understanding “i see. So i take it you're in love with him then?” i say in a half joking manner he blushes and shakes his head “n-no! We’re just friends at least i don't think i like him like that…” i nod again “well hope that turns out well for you.” i said turning my attention back to the book i was reading.

After a few seconds he asks “so do you just sit out here by yourself?” i nod “i don’t like people very much and i like it out here it's quiet” he nods “do you mind if i sit with you then?” “not at all, go ahead.” he sits down next to me and we talked for a bit he told me about himself as did i we became good friends and hung out quite a bit but we didn't that often because he was an upperclassman. Once school actually started though i didn't get to have lunch with him because i had second lunch and he had third lunch.

I yawned as i walked to the lunchroom and sit in the back away from pretty much everyone. I wanted to eat outside like i used to but there were a bunch of people out there so i decided not to i was still getting used to my classes so i didn't do much socializing not that i socialized.

I ate my lunch and read my book, once the bell rang i started heading to my class but once i got up the stairs i heard commotion. I turned the corner and saw three large guys standing around a smaller boy. These guys weren't larger than i were but there was a few of them. I sighed and walked up to them “excuse me..” i said with a low threatening voice. The one on the right turned around to face me but once he saw my face or more specifically my eyes, his faces was as white as a bed sheet. The one on the left turned towards me and and his eyes widen “b-boss that's S-satoshi Lore the one with violet eyes they say he's the worst and extremely violent when he’s mad” he stuttered. The middle ones eyes widen and he backs away from the smaller boy the two slowly follow. Once they were a good distance from me they ran.

I looked down at the smaller boy “you alright?” i examine him and see he had small bruises and cuts were i can see. The boy looks up i can feel his fear but he nods “y-yeah i'm alright...um.. P-please don't hurt me…” i sigh “i'm not going to hurt you despite what they said i'm honestly not all that bad, people just make rumors about me because i have violet eyes” the small boy nods and smiles brightly “i see well i'm hibiki it's nice to meet you Lore-san!” i sighs “satoshi is fine, anyway let's get you to the nurse you seem to be bleeding” hibiki looks down “n-no i'm alright i'll just head to the bathroom to get rid of the blood..” i raise an eyebrow “why not?” i ask “they will tell my dad…” i sigh again and place my hand on his head and rub it a bit “look i won't ask why but i can tell the nurse not to call or tell your dad i know the nurse well” i said with a small half smile, it felt odd considering i hardly ever smile. He stayed quiet for a bit but then nods “alright”.

I take him with me and as we pass by some people they give us a weird look i sigh and ignore it but i look down at hibiki who seems pretty nervous. I give him a reassuring pat on the head as we enter the nurse's office. I talked to the nurse and she smiles and agrees that she won't tell his parents i then pull out my book and wait till the nurse says he can go back to class she told me about some of his injuries and that to take care of him. I nodded and then walked him to his class which was also my class coincidently.

I give the teacher our passes and go to our seats since it's only the third week we don't have assigned seats yet so he moves over to where i was which was in the back away from most of the class the only other one back there was a ginger head girl who looked like she was one of the quote on quote bad girls. She looks over at hibiki and waves, who waves back i didn't really care considering that i had a feeling that he knew her i mean even though she looked like a bad girl she was still nice and popular. We talk for a bit and he talks about his friend group and wants me to join it i shrug and said sure because i normally sit alone.

Once the bell rings to signal the end of the day i grab my stuff and head to my locker. Once i get my stuff from said locker hibiki asks if he wanted to walk home together i nod slightly and his face lights up as if his face was just strung with christmas lights. Once we get to my street i notice he's still walking beside me i didn't want to be mean to him so i didn't say anything about it. Once i reach my house he waves goodbye then walks into the house next to mine. I mentally facepalm myself once he did.

Of course he lives next door.

I walked into my house and see my mom waiting “well well well i see you finally made a new friend!” she said with a bright smile on her face i nod slightly. I mean i think we were friends we didn't know each other that well but he invited me to his friend group so i think that means he counts me as a friend. “Well i have dinner ready so put your stuff down and come eat oh and wake your brother up too!” she says i groan and push my brothers door open “hey yuki get up!” i said with a loud voice i quickly went to my room as i heard the beast awaken, my brother was definitely not the happiest person when he woke up.

I put my stuff down and hear a tap at my window. I open it to find hibiki waving, i open it. “sup. “ i said “i never knew you lived here this is awesome we’re going to become great friends i can already tell!” i smile slightly and then hear my mom gasp

“oh my god you got satoshi to smile!?” she asks surprised “he never smiles this is amazing! Not only did you make a new friend today but he got you to smile! Eeee!” i groan “mom….” my mom rushes over to greet hibiki “your welcome any time you want uhm...." Its hibiki" He says softly my mom smiles "Hibiki-chan! Any friend of my son can. Oh i'm just so happy!” hibiki giggles “thank you Mrs. Lore-san” i heard a muffled yell “ah.. That's my mom i better get going dinner's ready” my mom and i nod “take care hibiki-chan!” my mom yells “alright now that i've met your new friend now we can have dinner.” i nod and walk into the dining room to see my dad and brother look over at me and my mom like we were crazy

“what was all the yelling for?” my dad asks “satoshi made a new friend!” my mom squeals with joy “heh bet they became friends out of fear you’ll kill them.” my brother smirked “yuki!” my dad said with a glare. Yuki just looks away and starts eating. I roll my eyes and begin to eat, my parents talk and yuki eventually joins in but i just stay quiet.

Once my brother and i are told to go to bed i grab my book and begin to read i look at my window and over to hibiki's housed to see that the room light was still on. I raised an eyebrow and open my window to get a better look and see hibiki sobbing softly, i knock on his window and he looks up at me i can see that his emerald green eyes were slightly red and that there were tear stains on his cheeks. He wipes his tears away and opens his window “y-yes satoshi? What is it..?” i think for a moment then ask “i saw your light on and wanted to make sure that you were alright. Why are you crying?” i asked he looks down and quietly says “y-yeah im alright. You don't have to worry about it…” i sigh “hibiki your my friend, we may have just become friends but we are still friends right? I worry about all my friends.” hibiki's eyes widen and almost seem to brighten “you consider me a friend?” he asks shyly i nod.

He smiles so brightly i thought the sun was out, he giggles a bit “i'm glad.” i nod “that's good now do you want to tell me what's wrong?” his smile disappears slightly but nods “it was my father… he's not exactly the nicest person in the world. Hes cruel and my mom doesnt deserve him but they love each other and all but i know for a fact that he doesn't like me, my mom is fine with me but my dad…” i nod “i understand you don't have to say anymore if you don't want to” he nods “th-thank you satoshi… for everything. I'm glad we became friends” he smiles which makes me smile slightly “no problem now turn your light off and get some sleep kay?” he nods and turns his light off “good night satoshi” he says before he closes his window. “Night hibiki..”

i close my window and from the other room i can hear my mom fangirling and my dad and brother telling her to quiet down even though my door is closes and the walls are not what i would call thin
