Annabeth

It was almost dinner time, and the Athena cabin was starting to walk out the door, lead by me, when we saw a bunch of strange people dressed in black cloaks with hoods on so you couldn't see their faces. I hadn't been this curious and scared since the day Piper disappeared. Gods, I never knew what happened to her. I spent many months looking for her, but couldn't find her, so eventually, I just gave up. Who knows? She could be dead by now. My cabin and I stared wide-eyed at the strange people, wondering why they were here, and who they were. "Come on." I said. "Let's keep walking, it's not nice to stare, and it's time for dinner anyways." My cabin seemed to glance at me and fall out of a trance when I said that. They all nodded and we kept walking, trying to ignore the people as best we could.

My soldiers and I walked to the Dining Pavilion, knowing it was dinner time. We sat down at a special table Chiron had told the Hephaestus kids to make, just for my soldiers and I, as he knew of our arrival. We took our seats as every campers head turned to stare. We just ignored them and sat. When everyone was settled, Chiron stood on a table and clapped his hoof.

"Attention campers, and staff. As you all are well informed of, there have been many wars and fights breaking out all around Camp Half-Blood, and our boundaries are becoming weaker and weaker, which causes more monsters, more destruction, and more injured and killed campers. So, I have called for some help. The soldiers, of Lord Chaos." I gestured my hand toward the table of black cloaked soldiers, and they all started to look uncomfortable as every head shot around to get a better view of them. "Now" I said. "I want you to make them feel welcome, and treat them with respect." "Do we understand?" "Yes, Chiron." All the campers chanted back. I smiled.

I was a little uncomfortable with a bunch of demigods staring at me, but I had bigger problems to worry about. The same worries from earlier had crossed my mind. Out of habit, I looked at the Zeus table, and saw none other then Jason Grace, his sky blue eyes gazing into the distance, his fork stabbed into his chicken. He looked almost frozen, he wasn't moving. Just daydreaming, staring into space, seeming to be lost in thought. I was angry, but at the same time relieved to see that Jason was still alive, and still ok. No, I shouldn't like Jason, he cheated on me. I shook away the thought and began to eat again, putting on a fake smile for my soldiers to look like everything was ok. After we finished our dinner, we burned our offerings to the gods. "To Aphrodite." I said, scraping my left over pizza and salad into the glowing brazier. "Hey mom, I know your not...well...the most helping person, but, I could really use your help." I started at Jason, who was just beginning to get up from his table. "Please help me figure this out, with Jason, and being back at Camp Half-Blood." "I'm so confused." My eyes started to water as I scraped the last of my left-overs into the brazier. I turned and Bianca was looking at me. "Hey." She said. "You ok?" Bianca asked sympathetically. "Yea, why?" I asked. "Oh, you look like your about to cry, your eyes are watering." She answered.

"Oh." I said, embarrassed. "Probably just the flames from the brazier." She smiled. "Ok, glad your ok, I'll see you later." The daughter of Hades waved goodbye and started walking out of the Dining Pavilion. I had just traded a few extra scraps of pizza and salad for an impossible request.
