Mark

It was already almost twelve in the afternoon. We should of been out already but I think Ten really needs a day to really digest what's happening. I myself am even worried, at first I really wasn't going to tell him and I was going to decline them but I had a while to think about it and I really needed this. I couldn't give up such an amazing opportunity, especially being able to see my family a lot more often.

Ten means the world to me and he is my hyung but I really worry for him. How will he be able to make it on his own? It's been really rough since him and Johnny broke up, but I didn't think it would still be so bad. I knocked on his door lightly before entering, his room was a mess. There were clothes, shoes, flipped furniture, and glass shards from a broken mirror everywhere on his floor.

He was lying in bed with a beer in his hand, staring at the ceiling. What the hell happened in here?

"Hyung what happened to your room? It's a mess, and all this glass, it's dangerous. You really should clea-".

"Mark, I found a job. I was searching for one last night and I found one. I know it's messy in here, I just sort of exploded but it'll get cleaned up" He interrupted me.

There was something odd from the way he was talking, he didn't sound or look intoxicated, he isn't an angry drunk, but he sounded....almost like a robot.

"Wait you got a job over night that quick? What is it? Where is it?" I couldn't help but pester him with questions.

He shook his head and set his beer aside, getting up from the bed and moving around the mess. He walked straight to me and then engulfed me into a big hug. All I could do was hug back as I was to confused to comprehend what was going on. He finally let go, there were tears welling up in his eyes.

"Mark, congratulations man. I'm really proud of you and I won't disappoint you, I'm going to get myself together and stop acting like a fool. Go along to the carnival, I'll meet you there soon, invite Haechan if you want too".

Ten grabbed his phone and left the room, I waited for him to elaborate but there was only the sound of the front door closing. Where was he going? Why is he acting so weird? I shook it off and left the room, I grabbed my car keys and went to the car, heading off to the carnival. I checked my phone for any response from Haechan, he was still there waiting. I hurried off, putting off everything that had just happened.

"Here you go, have a nice day!" I repeated for maybe the millionth time today so far.

I was hard at work, quickly making and serving as much as possible. It was only me and one other person working today and I now understand how many people really do actually come here, when Ten had mentioned almost the whole town going he was not kidding. Speaking of Ten, I hadn't seen Mark or him at all today and I was a bit disappointed. Usually I would have a source of entertainment but it looks like they aren't coming today, looks like they must not actually go every day.

As I was making more cotton candy, someone called my name. I turned around, hoping it was Ten, but was met with Mark.

"Oh hey Mark, what's up? Is Ten with you?" I walked up to the empty counter.

Mark was with his friend from last time but Ten was not in sight. Maybe Ten didn't want to go.

"Hey, have you seen Ten? He told me he would meet me here but it's been over almost two hours now and he hasn't been around" he explained, an overpowering amount of worry in his voice.
