Richard told me to close my eyes and so I did. He put something velvet and square and red in my hands. " open them now"! Richard smiling litterley beaming from ear to ear. " Come here"! He gently takes the box from hand and then not gets down off the sofa on to his knee " Oh my Jesus your not going to you know"! I laugh Richard still bending down on one knee he manages to open the box.
Richard still smiling from ear to ear says " Miss Georgia Blackford I will always and forever love you"! Before he could continue she says " Richard get up you silly begger"! Richard says softly " I loved you from the first moment I met you how beautiful you looked still beautiful now so Georgia. ......... Will you do me the honour in consent to be my wife"? I'm crying " yes yes yes of course I'll marry you"! Richard gets up and kisses me but first puts the diamond ring on my finger. Richard gets up he's still wearing that Chester cat smile. " What about our parents have you told yours"? I ask him he says flatly " oh damn it no but I will when my mother next rings me"! I say shortly back " Darling Better still why don't we go back up to Leciester and tell them face to face"!
Richard shook his head and he said said taking my hands in his " No it's best if we wait a little while"! But then suddenly Richard said " we should announce the engagement to the media we've been pretty much invisible when we since we met now it's time my angel"! I just nodded " yes and my mother's going to find out then she'll go nuts I'd we don't tell her in person"! Richard laughs " ah but she already knew"! I say shortly turning around to face him " what do you mean she already knew"? I asked her before i asked for your hand in marriage to me"! I just smiled I threw my arms around him. Richard replied " Besides it's been 10 years anyway so I had to make an honest woman of you sometime didn't i"! I laugh " yes I suppose you did"!
