Have we come to forget our rights as humans? How 149 years ago we harbored blacks as slaves simply because they didn’t look like us? How we denied women basic rights due to thinking they were inferior to men? Just a couple years ago interracial couples were looked down upon and weren’t allowed marriage. Notice the pattern yet? Let’s not forget how we deny marriage to those in love but grant it to those who hate. America the state of the free, or so we’re called. Freedom would mean marrying who I want male or female without anyone telling me otherwise. Freedom means not having to worry if I’m homosexual and getting picked on because it’s my right as a human. Yet people are still harboring slaves, oppressing the image of women, having interracial couples frowned upon and denying same-sex marriage.
People dream of the day where the world will be perfect, peaceful, but realistically we know that won’t happen. There are kids who refuse to go to school because they get picked on for being homosexual, all because people feel uncomfortable with two men or women loving each other. Apparently we have the power to tell people who they can and cannot love, we brain wash children into thinking it’s a sin instead of teaching them acceptance. A generation that was supposed to change the world for the better and it’s done the exact opposite. I’m sorry, I forgot that to live in this world we all have to follow god’s words and do as he says. I’ve forgotten that although god states that he does not hate any of his children he must hate those who are gay. Same-sex marriage denied because it’ll soil the vowels of marriage when people are getting divorced daily but we turn the blind eye to them.
It seams as if discrimination of homosexuality happens everywhere no matter who you are or what you do. Employees that have been working for years are being fired because they had the guts to come out as being homosexual. Yet those who are caught stealing within their job get noting more but a few days of suspension. How can the government keep telling me that I have rights and freedom when they are being violated and abused with each passing day. They feed us lies telling us things are getting better when we ourselves are seeing the exact opposite happen in front of us. It's as if you can't be homosexual because according to everyone you are just confused and need to see God's way, do people honestly believe that this is a choice? Do they think we can choose who we want to love, because if so I have some shocking news for them. People do NOT choose to be homosexual; just like people don't choose if they're straight.
Gay. Gay Gay. Gay seams to be the new slang for something stupid to someone. "Oh that's so GAY" Do people not realize that gay is not meant to be used as an insult? Everywhere you go you always hear someone use the word gay in a negative way. There are people who are gay, they like the same sex OK get over it. Gay is not meant to be used as an excuse for something you do not like. "Hey look at that kid, is he wearing a pink sweater? That's so GAY!" I'm sorry if I can't get into your meaningless slang words and calling everything I see gay, I guess I just have this thing called RESPECT. Some of you guys should all try to learn it. Calling something gay not only upsets those who are homosexual and take it offensive but you re making yourself look like an intolerant asshole.
Don't dare say we live in a free country when we constantly fight over two people in love getting married. Somehow the bible allowed weddings between two people who just met at Vegas or two complete assholes but not two men or women. How is America a free country, how do we manage to keep that label with all the bullshit lies and hate we have. Learn to accept and teach children because no child is born with hatred. Homosexuality is found in over hundreds of species and homophobia is found in only one; go ahead and take a guess on who that one species is. HUMANS.

RandomThis is an article I wrote when I was feeling passionate about the subject. It may not be the best one but it's how I feel about the LGBT issue especially in America.
