If you can't get ahold of me, I'm apologizing in advance because I know it may be a confusing situation all the way around. Because I may be crawling to the top of the Colorado Rockies or I could be sitting at a train station in Chicago waiting for my departure to New York. For all you know, if there's been a fair slot of silence, I'm sleeping in a tent in Portland, I'm on the couch of a friends in California, or I'm sitting at my favorite bar in Denver. I know that silence is hard, and again, I'm sorry for leaving without vocalizing something comforting. Restlessness is far too overwhelming, and this life is insanely short. We don't know what's going to happen, or where we'll be, but we can fill the clock up with memories that fog up the hour hand and dull the sound of the ticking. I refuse to live a life where I walk a straight line, because the only appropriate way to live is to zig zag across all opportunity possible.
