"Are you going to reject me or what?" Tyler growled once more.

"And if I do?"

What the heck  is wrong with you! My wolf yelled. Ignoring her, I waited for his reply.

"Then I'll accept it. So what is it going to be?"

Well, that's good to know. Maybe what they said about him is true. What wolf doesn't give a rats ass if their mate rejects them?

Makayla, please, you better think this through! I don't want to lose our mate! I can feel his wolf calling for me. He needs us and we need them, my wolf pleaded. Just the thought of me rejecting him caused my wolf to steer in my head.

"I don't think so."

"I don't think so? Makayla I do not have time for your games. If you're going to reject me, reject me now so we can move on from this."

"I-I'm not going to reject you. But you have to give me some time to get used to the idea that you're my mate." Goddess it was hard to look him in the eye and tell him that. It felt like someone just put their hand through my chest, squeezed my heart then ripped it out of my chest.

"Makayla, I don't have time for this 'getting used idea,' you're my mate, it's either you accept it and become my luna or you reject me."

Sighing I nodded. "I accept you as my mate. But I need you to understand that after tomorrow's meeting, I'll be heading back to Crescent Night with Tyson - "

"Makayla I just said I have no time for this nonsense. You either come back with me as my mate and luna or nothing at all. Crescent Night is no longer your pack. You have to choose, your pack or me, us" Tyler said, his voice hard.

"Will you please let me finish? Do you think this is easy for me? Just a few hours ago I was a single she wolf, representing my pack, only to find my mate not long after who is demanding me to leave everyone I love and care about. I was just telling you that I will need to finish my duties as my pack's luna and go back to Crescent Night to officially let go of my duties and to let my family know that I have found my mate. Obviously they would want to meet and get to know you, but under the circumstances I have gathered that you'd want to go back to your pack first and make sure no rogues have been causing any trouble."

"So you don't want to reject me?"

"No I don't."

I walked towards him, and held his hands and looked into his eyes, goddess his eyes makes me want to drown in them.

"That's why I was going to ask you to go to Crescent Night to meet my family and everyone I care about. Yes, you are my mate but it does not mean I'll forget who I am."

Tyler nodded his head in understanding.

The rest of the meeting went as well as it could under the circumstances. Luckily there had been no further attacks. On our way back to Crescent Night, Tyler decided that it'll be better if he went with us than go back to his pack, travel to Crescent Night and then back to Midnight Shadow. To say that the drive was awkward and eerily quiet is an understatement. Tension was clearly brewing between Tyler and Tyson. I tried making jokes but neither one of them found it funny, or even if they did, none of them showed it.

When we arrived in Crescent Night, Toby was waiting for us outside the pack house. Getting off the car, I rant towards Toby and gave him a hug. Tyler, who was just getting off the car started growling.

"Will you stop that!"

"Makayla calm down. What's going on? Why is Alpha Knight with you guys? Alpha Fred did not mention another alpha coming for a visit or a meeting with him."
