Time Skip- Training, next day

Short Itachi's POV-

It's been over a year since Izumi got kidnapped; I missed her more than ever. I swear, if that snake guy laid a finger on her, I would never forgive him... I don't have school at the Academy today, so I think I'll try to scout for her.... But I would never give up on her, I would scout every single day and not get tired of it.

Izumi's POV-

Today's the day, this is the time. My horrible decision to kill my best friend, Kamiko... I know that no matter how long I live, I will forever regret this. But to insure the safety of everyone back home... I would do this. I can do this. I'm so sorry, Kamiko...

"Hey! C'mon! Training time!" Shouted Kamiko from outside my door. I started shaking.

"Coming! Just... Give me a few minutes!" I replayed, steadying myself.

"Sure! I'll just be outside!"

I dressed, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and looked in the mirror one more time. This would be the last time I saw myself this way, innocent and caring. Sighing, I walked out, to be greeted by a hug.

"Let's go!" I smiled and followed her along the winding hallways.

"Hello, girls... How about... Sparring? Don't hold back, Izumi," He said, eyeing me. That dirty imbecile.

"Hai" Kamiko said, expecting me to do the same thing. After a moments pause, I followed her lead.

I decided to spar a little bit, put her in a genjutsu, and kill her. That would be the easiest and least suspecting way, I guess. "Crystal Release- Jade Crystal Blade!" I started. A razor sharp crystal blade 'grew' out of my arms.

She whipped out several kunai; they were her speciality. As expected, my crystal blades blocked all of them. Almost all... One unexpectedly cut my cheek. I raced towards her, taking advantage of my speed and agility. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" I yelled, making clones of me, swirling around her with lightning speed.

"She glared, and said, "Ninja Art- Needle Senbon," as to take out all my clones. It worked, but cutting me up too. I smirked. The clones would create a 'smoke' screen, and then I'd put her into a genjutsu. I activated my Sharingan, and Kamiko, trying to see through the fog, made the mistake of looking into my eyes. As she was successfully paralyzed, I zoomed towards her.

"I'm so sorry... Hami- chan," I said, tears flowing down my face. "I'm sorry... B..but I have to do this. You'll always be my best friend... I will never forget you..." I choked out, tears flowing freely. Pure agony ripped through me as I held up my crystal blade arm, and with a swift move, slit her throat.

Her mouth went wide, and a spurt to blood came out. "W...why...?" She asked, before the fell to the ground, dead. I felt a peculiar feeling in my eyes, before I screamed, seeing her body before me on the ground, and having the horrible feeling of what I did sink in.

"N..NOOO!" I gasped, why in the world did I even agree to this? This was horrible, terrible, I couldn't stand it, I screamed one more time, and letting darkness consume me. (Lots of screaming, I know..)

Itachi's POV-

I was searching the forest, farther than I've ever gone before, and then I heard a blood curdling scream. I immediately ran towards the sound, I had to help them!

Seeing a door in some rocks ahead, I decided to be rude and busted them open. Another scream. Running along the seemingly endless hallways, I stopped at a particular room. There, I saw two bodies lying on the ground, and the Snake Man from before- it had to be one of the Legendary Sannin, Orochimaru. He was chuckling something about vessels, weapon, perfection, and evil... This can't be good. Orochimaru left, probably thinking to collect them later. Huh, how careless. I sneaked into the room, peering at the faces of the fallen figures. I felt my heart stop for a second, and stared. It was.... Izumi! But who was the other girl? And why was she dead?!? Never mind, I'll ask about that later. My first priority would be Izumi. Then.. One day... Orochimaru is going to feel my wrath! I picked her up, bridal style, and ran out of the room. My heart was pounding, my head going crazy. Finally! Finally reunited with Izumi...

I felt her grip my shirt, saying "no, no, no no!" Over and over. Worried, I stopped running and laid her down. To my surprise, she opened her eyes. "Itachi?!?" She cried, surprised, before passing out again.

Oh... Uh sorry, there hasn't been much real dialogue or anything happening... I'LL DO BETTER NEXT TIME!!! Me is hoping to add some awesomeness to it... I don't know about you, but it seemed sorta lame to me... Comment, whatever, and... Thanks!
