"its really hot here at the lake", jess said
"Ya but thats why there is a lake to cool off in", becky protested. I'm just sad that summer is just about to end and we have to go back to school in only one week.
" hey girls", michael said. "Want to come down to the water with me and aaron."
"sure," we both say.
"K because last one there is getting dunked"screamed michael.
" meet you there jess,i don't want to be dunked."said becky
I took my time cause i know it was a bluff and i loved walking by and just being with nature.
" ha ha jess you have to be dunked now you were the last one" becky proclaimed.
" ha no" jess said while laying out her towel.
Michael ran over to jess and picked her up by her waist.
" no put me down" jess said laughing.
Splash! Your going to get it now. She said to michael.
She jumps on his back and then she fell off. She went around to his front and started to push him. He was backing up and there as a log behind him foot. He trip and brought me down with him. All of a sudden we were on the ground. I was laying on top of him. We were just looking at each other.
" eww get a room you too" aaron said joking.
We all laughed and i got off of him.
After a while we went back to the cabin, becky's mom asked us to help her with supper. Of course we said yes. While helping i was thinking about micheal. Thinking about what had happened down by the water. was i starting to like him. No that's crazy.
" could you pass me the cucumber from the fridge jess" mrs charls said.
Mrs charls is becky's mom. But she acts like a second mom. Because mine left me when i was very young. Becky is my best friend in the entire world. I couldn't imagine life without becky or mrs charls.
"jess...jess...JESS" becky said
"Hmm" jess said.
"Where you just daydreaming?" said becky
"Ya i think i was" i replied.
While me and beck got ready for bed, i was thinking about micheal.
" hey beck"
'ya ' she said.
" I sort of think i like michael ever since today when i fell on him." i said
" wow, thats new" beck said
"But he is your brothers best friend'
" i know" i wined
"But he is like so cute and sweet"
" i don't even know how to act to that, like you're totally crazy"
" lol, no your crazy for him' becky said.
" i know" i cried.
" hey we are going for a quad ride before dinner" aaron yelled.
"We should go too" i suggested to becky.
" fine" becky shrugged
Becky asked her mom and got helmets and goggles. We got on the quads and went on the trail we normally go on. I really likes going on quad rides cause i could just think. And i liked to think about who i liked. And right now i liked michael. The boys so happen to be there in the middle of this really pretty spot with flowers.they were just on their phone playing games. So we stopped and hung out with them. We started to play games and chase each other around. After me and becky started to pick flowers, i saw this really pretty one and went to grab it but then michael grabbed it.
"This would really look pretty in your hair" michael said while swiping my hair away from my ear and putting the flower there.
' thanks' i said shaking a bit from his hand touching my face.
'Last one back to the cabin has to do the dishes. Aaron shouted
We got back on the quad and beat the guys back to the cabin, so they had to do the dishes.
"Get up, get up, get up girls" mrs charles said.
'Aww it's too early' becky groaned.
I agreed.
" we are having a boating day today out on the water." mrs charl explained.
' fine" we both said. We got up and got dressed. Tiredly we grabbed out stuff for the boat, like water and towels. We had our bathing suits on under a baggy shirt and some shorts. The boys had on shorts and t-shirts. We all got on the boat and set off to have a great day. We had drinks and snacks to eat if we got hungary. Normally the boys would go wakeboarding first then me and becky would swim in the middle of the lake, just for fun. So the boys where going first. Aaron went for about an hour and i was on my phone. Then it was michael's turn and he took his shirt off. He had the best abs. Watched him wakeboard the entire time, what was about 45 minutes.finally it was our turn to swim. We took off our shorts and our shirts to reveal our bathing suits. We just got new ones.we love jumping off together and making a big splash.
"1....2....3....GO" we screamed. When we got in i could see out of the corner of my eye that michael was looking a my ass when i took my shorts off and when we jumped in. i do not judge him it's a new bathing suit that makes my ass look great.after a while the boys got too hot and decided to join us in the water.we were playing games and the guys where playing too. Then michael came over to me and stared at me in the eyes. I thought he was going to kiss me for some reason till he slapped me and said
" your it" so i chases becky to get her. It was really fun.
After a while we ate all of the snacks and where hungry so we went in for lunch. We had tuna sandwiches for the third time this week. And its wednesday.
" come on, time to go back on the boat"mrs charles said.
" i call shotgun" aaron said.
" it's a boat you idiot" becky said. We all laughed and walked back down to the dock to go on the boat. The boys went back to wakeboarding. Me and becky got cold so where where huddling together in the corner. Under like five blankets.watching the guys. And falling a sleep a little bit. Then it was getting dark and we decided to go in off the lake.
" it's the boys turn to help with a meal" becky said.
" ugh" the boys said.
" ha, let's go for a walk" i suggested. We went for a walk and it got a little darker and we were tired. All of a sudden the boys came with the quads to tell us that it was supper time.
" can you guys give us a ride?"becky asked
" fine get on" they said. I got on michaels quad and i had to hold on to his waist. Becky was on aarons. We hit bump and i held on to him tighter. I felt him rub my hand a bit. I could feel my cheeks get blood red and i tried not to think about him. when we got back to the cabin and we ate supper. during supper michael sat next right next to me and i had a big mouthful of lettuce and he laughed at me so i excused myself to go to the bathroom cause my face was really red. Becky came in after me and said that we were going out to the fire so we had to change and put something wormer on like a hoodie. after we went out to have a fire.i sat next to becky and michael. We were roasting marshmallows. I roasted five marshmallows and burned all of them, so michael gave me one of his.
" thanks." i said. Becky and i got tired so we went in to get ready for bed.we brushed our teeth and our hair. Then we changed and got in bed and played on our phones for a while. Then we fell asleep.
I woke up to the sound of beckys alarm. I yelled to becky when i didn't hear anything but her alarm i looked over and she was not there. I turned off her alarm and got up. She was making breakfast in the kitchen.
" why didn't you wake me" i said
" though i would let you get some sleep"becky said. Mrs charls came out of her room. Mopping a bit.
" what's wrong mom" becky said.
" today is supposed to be really rainy and gloomy." mrs charls said.
Aw that sucks we both said. The boys are looking for some games to play later.
" i might have to go into town so get some movies and candles if the power goes out" mrs charls said.
"Ok" becky replied.
We watched as mrs charls left with an umbrella in her hand. The boys came up.
" where is mrs charls going?" michael ask.
" she is going to get some movies and other things from the store." i replied.
" but thats like an hour away." aaron whined.
" i know, we have to entertain ourselves until mom gets back" becky said. We decided to play a card game. We played cheat and i was really good at it. So was michael so we were the last two playing. As i was dealing out the last round i caught a glimpse of michael staring at me. I giggled a little bit. he won sadly. After the power went out we had some candles lit but no many. we were playing truth or dare. I had to say what the most embarrassing i did was and stuff was. Until aaron dared michael to kiss me. He looked embarrassed. Then he looked at me and ask if it was ok. I said ya it was fine. So he leaned in to kiss me and his lips touched mine. It lasted for a while and he used tongue. We broke the kiss. And i sat there awkwardly. Aaron laughed and michael punched his arm. We laughed. We stopped play shortly after the kiss. I really wanted to kiss him again though. But he probably didn't want to kiss me again.
Becky was asking me all about how he kissed. I explained that it was like great. He tasted like chocolate and smelt like man. He made my heart tingle.mrs charls came back. And brought movies.the power came back on. We did not tell mrs charls what happened. We watch some movies and i was thinking during the movies. I think like him even more. I kept looking over at him, and he saw me once or twice.i got up to get a hoodie and go to the bathroom. While i was washing my hands michael came in.
" oh sorry i did not know anyone was in here." michael said.
" its ok, i was done anyway." i said. While we were passing each other our hands brushed a bit and i could feel him reach for my hand while i was walking. But i walked away. I went back to sitting on the coach. Then michael sat down next to me. The coach is broken so i slid into him a little bit. So we were sitting on the coach and he was playing with my shirt a little bit, just with the tag. We were watching the movie kissing booth.a really funny and romantic movie. So it was very awkward when they kissed cause it made me think of my kiss with michael but i could tell he was thinking about that too.after the kissing booth we played a few games and some more movies and we all went to get ready for bed.
