If there wasn't balance in the world, nothing would be anything. Things wouldn't counteract one another or influence something else. Pure chaos is the only thing that awaits a world without order. So, who gets the wonderful job of keeping the order? The answer: Conductors and Conductresses.
These are the godlike beings in charge of everything. They make things happen when things are supposed to happen. They keep the balance between different forces.
Since the beginning of time, the Conductors and Conductresses have been divided into Tiers based on importance.
The first Tier-- the most important Tier-- has always and will always consist of two single Conductors. These are the Conductors of Life and Death. One without the other would yield a negative outcome. Life without Death equals chaos; Death without Life equals chaos.
The second Tier consists of four Conductors. These are the Conductors in charge of elements and seaons. There is the Fire and Summer Conductor, the Earth and Fall Conductor, the Ice and Winter Conductress, and the Wind and Spring Conductress. Without a single one, the seasons would become out of line and throw the world into peril.
The third Tier is made up of several other important Conductors. This Tier includes the Conductor of Time, the Conductress of Thought, and many others.
The fourth Tier is made up of Conductors in charge of commands and actions that need to be performed in order to survive. These include the Conductors of Eating, Breathing, Sleeping, et cetera.
The fifth Tier is made up of all the other Conductors, each one in charge of something. No matter how trivial the Conductor's job is, a single mistake could end the world. There are several life-threatening outcomes to each decision. If an acorn doesn't fall, the world may just end.
