The Winter We Thought We Lost Love

Prologue

A Year Ago

Everyone was gathered around the table at Pha and Yo's favorite restaurant. They were celebrating the fact they were together as a couple and thanking their friends who helped both of them. Pha stood and held up a glass.

''I want to thank everyone who is here tonight. If not for you all then I doubt I would be standing here today able to call Yo mine.'' Pha said as he looked at Yo who was smiling at him.

Yo stood and held his glass up as well ''We could not ask for better friends then you. The ones that stuck with us in school Ming, Kit and Beam and the new friend we made in collage Forth. Tho we hide how we felt for the longest time, if not for you all we may have never been able to say it. We thank you.'' Pha wrapped an arm around Yo and leans down kissing him.

''To friends who are family and family that are friends. CHEERS'' Ming said standing.

''To friends who are family and family that are friends. CHEERS!'' Everyone had said.

Everyone had fun and were laughing. Pha held Yo on his lap not letting him go. Ever since he confessed to Yo he couldn't keep his hands off him. Kit and Beam were teasing Pha about always hanging onto Yo. He kept telling them he was scared to let him go cause he may leave again and he didn't want that to happen. Both Ming and Forth were talking about upcoming events and tests in their department.

After a wail everyone started to leave to head home. Pha of course was taking care of Yo and Forth was helping a drunk Beam onto his bike.

''This is going to be fun'' Forth said.

''Shouldn't we just call a taxi for him instead'' Kit was asking as he pulled out his phone.

''Yeah, lets do that and I will just follow behind then help him to the room.'' Forth said pull Beam off the bike and sitting him down on a near by bench and waited for the taxi.

Once everyone had left it was just Ming and Kit. Ming gave Kit a lift home. Just as they pulled up in front of his place Ming stopped Kit from getting out. Kit looked back at him.

''P'Kit, there is something I would like to tell you.'' he said with the most sincere tone.

Kit turned and looked at him ''What is it Ming?'' he said softly.

Ming took a hold of Kit's hand and pulled him close then leans in and kisses him softly. Kit looked at him shocked and pulls away.

''What are you doing'' he shouted.

''I like you, P'Kit'' Ming said ''I want to be with you.  Allow me to be your boyfriend.''

''Your crazy'' Kit said annoyed then gets out of the car and heads to his room. Ming sat there watching then lets a soft sigh out.

A few days had passed since that night. Ming tired to talk to Kit but he wasn't having it. After class on Thursday Kit happen to see Ming talking to a girl. She seemed to be confessing to him. Ming just smiled and rubbed the back of his head. Mad Kit walked over and grabbed a hold of Ming's wrist pulling him behind him and looked at the girl.

''Are you hitting on my boyfriend?'' he said angry.

''Boyfriend? You mean he is gay?'' she said.

Kit nodded and Ming just stood there not saying a word only looked at Kit shocked. The girl started to get upset and ran off crying. Kit smiled and laughed then turned only to remember that Ming was still there and he was holding onto him. Kit stop smiling and let go of Ming only to have him turn around and pull him into a hug.

''Hey Ming let go.'' Kit said trying to push away.

''P'Kit, you agree to be my boyfriend then'' Ming asked still hugging him.

''I...I didn't say that'' he stuttered.

Ming pulled back and looked at him ''You called me your boyfriend. So that means you agree.''

Shit, that was right. He did call him that in order to get the girl away and Ming heard as well. What was he gonna do now? If he took it back it would hurt Ming, but if he agreed then that would mean they were dating. It was true though he did have some feelings for Ming even though he tried to hide it.

Ming took a few more steps back after letting Kit go ''It's fine P' you don't need to answer me. I understand.''

He understands, understands what? Kit wondered watching him. Ming grabbed his bag and turned walking away. Shit, he looked sad and hurt. That was the last thing he wanted to do. Ming had always been so kind to him, even if he was a pain, he was still nice. Kit took off after him grabbing a hold of Ming's arm.

''Ming wait.'' he said trying to catch his breath.

''P' you don't have to say anything really. I understand that you don't...'' before he could finish Kit had pulled him close and was kissing him.

Ming was stunned for a moment then smiled dropping his bag and pulls Kit close to him kissing him back. Kit started to blush feeling Ming kiss him back. Shit, he was in trouble now. How could he let this guy draw him into something like this?

Ming pulled away looking at Kit ''So You agree?'' he asked.

'Yes'' Kit said softly looking away.

''It's about time'' a voice said behind Kit. When he turned around he saw Pha and Beam walking over to them.

''Agree, Your always talking about how Ming was a pain yet you never once said you didn't like him.'' Beam said in a teasing way.

''Will you two shut it'' Kit said annoyed and crossing his arms.

''We also couldn't get Ming to shut up about P'Kit'' Yo said walking over to them with Forth following behind.

''P'Kit is so cute when he is mad. P'Kit is cute when he tries to pay attention in class.'' Forth said mocking Ming and gives his shoulder a nudge.

''That's enough P', Kit will get embarrassed.'' Ming said hugging Kit from behind even though he was getting mad.

Kit knew he choose wrong but he couldn't turn back now. It would hurt Ming and that was something he truly didn't want to do at all. He shook his head looking back at Ming who was smiling and laughing wail being teased by the others. Kit couldn't help but smile at him. He would give up for now and let Ming have his way, but yet at the same time Kit was falling for Ming even more now.

Ming looked down at Kit and smiled then kissed his cheek whispering in his ear ''My KitKat'' he teased only to have Kit start blushing. ''Idiot'' Kit said looking away. Ming hugged him closer and wasn't letting go. Just how long was he going to keep this up? Kit huffed but yet he was thinking how he hoped Ming would never let go. It felt good to be in his arms. Was this really the guy he was going to be with for now on? How long were they going to last? Would Ming get tired of him? Though Kit was worried he didn't care what happens in the future. All he cared for was this moment right here with Ming and everyone else. That was good enough for him.
