The Winter We Thought We Lost Love

Chapter One

A Year Later

Ming was out with Yo trying to find something for Christmas for Kit and Pha. It had been a year since they both started dating and they both wanted to get something good for their boyfriends. They had been everywhere in the mall and yet they still couldn't find anything. They deiced to take a break and grab something to eat.

''I really can't seem to find anything worth getting Pha'' Yo had said as he took a bite of his food.

''Yeah, I don't know what to get Kit either.'' Ming said rubbing his head ''Last year was a little hard as well since it was the first Christmas we spent together.''

''Yeah, What was it you got him anyways?'' Yo asked.

Ming banged his head on the table then mumbled ''A box of KitKat's and shirt.''

Yo started to laugh ''What were you thinking?'' he said.

''Shut up. What you get Pha last year?'' Ming said looking up at him.

''A black sports bracelet'' Yo replied as he played with his food.

''How do you plan to up that one?'' Ming wondered sitting up.

Yo shrugged then looked around till he saw a jewelry shop behind Ming. Yo jumped up and ran over to it going inside. Ming grabbed his things and followed behind his friend. Yo started to look around only to spot a necklace. He had asked to see. When the worker handed it to him he looked it over in his hands.

''Ming, come look at this'' he said turning to his friend.

Ming walked over and looked at the necklace ''Nice, you could add a P & W for your names.'' he said in a teasing manner, but Yo seemed to like it. Yo started talking to the worker about everything. Ming walked away shaking his head laughing a bit.

He stopped at one case full of male rings and looked at him. He started to think if Yo was going to get something that expressed his love to Pha why couldn't he get a ring to express his love to Kit. Better yet why didn't he just ask Kit to marry him. He smiled at the idea and started to look throw the rings. Finally he happen to spot one that caught his attention.

The ring was silver with Celtic design all around it. When he asked the worker to look at it closer he noticed that the ring was one that had a meaning behind it. Among the Celtic design was another type. It was a Claddagh design. A pair or hands holding a heart between them with a crown on top.

''Whats the meaning of the design'' Ming asked looking at it over and over.

''The Claddagh is about love, loyalty and friendship. The two hands represent friendship, a heart symbolizes love and the crown on top is for loyalty.'' the worker told him as she pointed everything out.

''Is there another one?'' he said looking up.

The worker pulled another one that matched it perfectly. Ming turned and looked at Yo who was now standing next to him.

''What do you think?'' he said.

''What are you planning on doing?'' he wondered.

''I'm going to ask him to marry me.'' Ming smiled and went back to looking at the pair of rings.

Yo couldn't help but smile back ''Then I think they are perfect.'' He patted his friend on the back. Ming told the worker he wanted them engraved. After he put the order in for the rings he walked out smiling big.

''I cant believe you are really doing this'' Yo said looking at him.

''Me either'' Ming said still kinda out of it.
