Hi there, I'm April. Ever since I can remember, I've always loved telling stories. When I was very young I used to grab a book off the shelf and read a story that I made up in my head while I turned the pages, pretending it was my own.
My first stories were all about mice. I loved stories about animals like Bambi and The Secret of Nim. My bedroom was littered with stories while I was growing up, the only problem was, I never finished them. (We'll get to that problem in the next chapter).
As with most of us, grown up life took over and my dream of being an author was overshadowed by a need to pay the bills. I went to college and became a nurse, started working at the local Health Department, and that was that.
That is, until my youngest daughter introduced me to Wattpad. I can honestly say that this site is the reason that I'm writing again. The support is phenomenal.
So, for the first time writer, you've already taken a step in the right direction by joining Wattpad. Now let's talk about some other obstacles that you might encounter.
