Summer Between

   "Answer the damn door!!," Holly's uncle, Pablo, bangs on her front door, "I know you girls are in there!"
  
   Holly turns to her cousin Brianna, "Can we slip out the back?"
   "I'm scared!" Brianna softly whispers. "I mean what if he hears the door and runs to us??!"
   Holly sits and thinks. "Caleb will be here soon right?"
   "Only for me tho," Brianna shrugs, "you live here.."

   Veronica  (Holly's aunt) walks in the livingroom. "What the hell is going on!?"
    "He won't leave and were scared!" The 13 year old girls exclaim.
   *Veronica stupidly opens the door*
   "What do you want?"
   "Those damned girls knew it was me!! Let me in!"
   *Veronica's boyfriend, James, blocks the doorway* "No, they're scared."
  "Spoiled brats, move outta my way I'll open a new world of hurt for that one" *points at Holly*
 
   Caleb shows up and gets Brianna. Holly runs to her room scared and upset. She empties her bookshelf and wedges it between the wall and her door. She finds a decent sized backpack and stuffs as much clothes in it as possible. "I'm gonna run." She mumbles to herself.

   She finishes packing her bag. Grabs a few extra things and moves her a.c. from her window. One leg out and she sees blue lights. "Crap!"

   The social worker walks in the front door. "Is Holly here?"
   "She's in there." Her mamaw points down the hall as Holly sticks her head around the corner.  The worker sees her. "Will you pack a bag for a few days?"
  
   Holly runs to her room grabs her already packed bag, packs a second one, and grabs her favorite things.
  
  They take her to a foster home at 3 am. The mom talks to her for bit. Then around 12 Holy takes a short nap. When she wakes up the family is taking her too the pool. "Come on!" Her new brother grabs her hand.

   Holy stayed there for a week. Had her own room, mom tool her shopping, thay took her out to eat, and she begged to stay but the system moved her to a different home.
