the librarian smiled as a short brunette boy walked up to her desk.
"good morning dear. may i help you?"
hoseok nodded, asking the elderly woman where the classics had been shifted too.
her smile widened, as she said something about how teenagers these days loathed classics and pointed out the classic's shelves to him happily.
the bookworm thanked her and walked over to the classic's corner.
a wave of nostalgia hit hoseok as he ran his fingers across the worn spines of the books.
little women, a secret garden, the railway children, these were books that the teenager had read long, long ago, probably the main reason which piqued his interest in reading.
struggling to decide which book to chose, his eyes landed on a familiar, red headed boy, whose nose was buried in a notebook as he wrote something enthusiastically in it.
a smile spread over his face as he walked towards the boy and tapped his shoulder.
"dude, you got any good classic recommendations? i can't seem to choose from any of those." hoseok asked, pointing towards said books.
park jimin lifted his head from the leather bound notebook in his delicate hands and reflected hoseok's smile.
he nodded and scrawled something on his palm, turning it towards the brunette.

recognition sparked in hoseok's eyes and he thanked jimin, agreeing that wizard of oz was indeed the best classic he had ever read.
thanking the boy once again, he went to find his desired book.
park jimin was one of those people that hoseok could actually tolerate. maybe because he hadn't ever heard him talk, or maybe because he was so cool and mysterious. though hoseok firmly believed that it was because jimin had no friends and that the redhead chose to interact with hoseok amongst so many children.
and even though he didn't know much about jimin except that he wrote pretty deep poetry in that notebook of his, (which he sadly hadn't got to read but had assumed so), hoseok was glad that the other boy was his friend.
