~Chapter 3~

This is gonna be a long day. After a couple of minutes waiting for the nurse to come back and give me medication, Mark walks in. "Sorry about him, he's just is a bit mean but once you get to know him he is a sweetheart." Mark says. I just nod my head and try not to shake cause of my anxiety. I'm so worried what my parents will say and what people will say. I can already hear the rumors that are about to be conjured up. "Oh ya Dani walked into first period class late cause she was fucking a 29 year old" or "ya know Jason Doyle, ya well Dani is dating his uncle". God I'm gonna get so much hate for this. "Hey are you ok? You look really pale." He says with a comforting smile. I shake my head and let a single tear trickle down my cheek. "Just scared for the rumors, that's all," I say trying not to cry.

"Don't let them get to you, cause you know they aren't true and if you need me to I'll come back and beat up anyone who is mean about it to you." He says while he lightly punched my arm. "Why are you so nice to me," I blurt out. "Well I mean you ran into me and hurt your ankle so I mean what was I supposed I do, leave you there," he says with a chuckle.

I smile, then start giggling. "That would have been a dick move." I say with a smile on my face. I then look up and realize Jason is in the doorway smiling at me. "Hi" I say softly. Jason makes eye contact with me and walks over. "Sorry about how I reacted earlier today, that was out of line and I shouldn't have done that." He says. I just stare at him and his beautiful blue eyes. HEY NO DANI, HE IS A JERKWAD AND A DICK. I just nod my head and then he sits next to me and hugs me.

"Oh my lord Dani!" Screams Alice as she walks through the door. "Are you ok? Who did this to you? Do you need me to call my girls to go and beat that jerk up?" She says while hugging me, ignoring everyone else in the room. "Alice I'm fine, don't worry. And please don't beat up the guy I ran into, he is someone who you wouldn't want to beat up." I say while looking over at Mark who was sitting in the corner of the room. She stops hugging me and then asks who, and I motion towards Mark. "OH MY GOD YOU RAN INTO HIM! THE ACTUAL MARKIPLIER!" Alice says as her inner fangirl comes out. "Alice calm down, he is a human being, not a million dollars." I say with a smile on my face. A couple seconds later Jason goes up behind Alice and raps his arms around her waist. "Hey beautiful," he says with a smile. "Oh Jason what are you doing here!" She says while giggling. "Just making sure that your friend is ok," he says looking at me and Mark and mouthed "don't tell her that he's my uncle" I nod my head and just smile at the cute couple.

All of a sudden I feel a sting in my heart. Is that jealousy? No, it must be something else. But is it? No, Jason Doyle is a dick who only cares about himself. A couple seconds later the nurse walks in with my mom and she runs towards me. "Oh my god sweetheart are you ok? You look awful!" She says. "Thanks" I mumble. "Who hurt you? Do I have to have a stern talk with them?" She says while stroking my face. "No mom you should be thanking them," I say while pushing her hand away.

"Hi, I'm Mark, I accidentally ran into your daughter while she was in the hall and she hurt her ankle so I brought her to the nurses office. Sorry for the trouble" he says while shaking my moms hand. "Oh what a gentleman! Are you two a thing?" Says my mom. "Mom!" I yell. "He is 29, not a high schooler," I say while my face is bright red. "Well I mean it's you senior year, so I just maybe thought that he was like a senior or a college student!" My mom says. I just shake my head as Mark laughs. Jason and Alice are just giggling like they are 5 year olds and then the nurse starts laughing too. "Ok we're done!" I say and then put my face into my hands. "I'll date your daughter if you want me too," Mark says to my mom still giggling. "Oh she needs a boyfriend badly, she hasn't dated anyone in her 3 almost 4 years up here!" My mom says crossing her arms. "Mom!" I say. "Ok now that we've gotten that out of the way, it's time to give you medication and then put this brace on you." The nurse says. After that's all done my mom makes sure that I'm ok and that I don't need to go to the doctor. "Just take me tomorrow, ok?" I say. She nods her head and leaves.

"Thank you Mark, it really means a lot to me. I've had such a rough past couple of weeks, seeing your face makes me smile. Thank you," I say with a smile. "Dani, I'm so happy that I ran into you cause I haven't seen Jason smile a real smile for a long time. He may be dating Alice right now but I think he'll change his mind. Thank you." He says and winks at me. I just look over at Jason and Alice who are walking out of the room holding hands. Jason stops Alice and then walks over to me and hugs me tightly. I hug back and then let a tear roll down my cheek. He lets go and I take a deep breath and just force a smile. "See ya round, Dani." Jason says while rubbing the back of his neck. I just nod my head and wave bye and he leaves. "I can tell you like him, and I'm not gonna let you deny it." Mark says while crossing his arms. "Mark Edward Fischbach I might have a small crush on your nephew Jason Doyle, but we will never be a thing cause he doesn't like me in that way. He probably doesn't ever want to speak to me again." I say looking at the ground. "Never say never Daniel Jade Peer, never say never." He says while shaking his head. 

"Wait, how the fuck do you know my full name?" I say. "I was talking to the nurse and I was curious," He says with a chuckle. "Well I got to go, nice meeting you Ms. Peer, and if you ever need me again, call me." 

"I don't even have your number!"

"Now you do," he says while passing me a slip of paper.
